Okay, another day and another reverse trade. So, would going Capewell and S Crichton (thereby moving Lomax into 18) or Teddy and Paix (Centres would be Lomax and Williame -🤮 for 1 week) be the better option this week? I can do the other trades next week if needed.

My old mate Jase put a nice post on the intuition behind why the hot hand fallacy isn’t, but it should also cover why regression to the mean is reasonably reliable concept when given sufficient density; Milchy’s point about Butters stand because Butters expected it in a short period of time, from a short period of informing data. But given sufficient density then, probably greatly due to the hot hand thinking above, he would’ve been correct.

That's a great article and I agree with your and MTB's points. You never know when a player is going to have 8 shit scores then suddenly pump out beast scores to end on a good average, and you also never know when the player scoring amazingly is going to pump out the shit scores and finish weakly. My comment to Welshy wasn't meant to be gospel nor had the intention of coming across as wanky, just something to consider when picking up a player in fantasy is all.

I feel this too. Had the same feeling with Knight and Williams and dumped them. Problem is I can't afford anyone else worthwhile.

    Maubbs/Brailey/Walters
    to
    Paix/Teddy/Scrichton
    27K

    Thoughts?

Gives me Lomax and Scritta in CTR's and Turbo/Papy/Teddy at the back

If we had a wildcard I'd take Murray and the cash. I wouldn't burn a trade, think they will be similar scorers

    Thoughts on these trades

    OUT: Lolo, Aubbs, Shiba, Walters
    IN: Teddy, Yeo, Capewell, Crichton

    Gives me this team

    Koro
    Haas Twal
    Yeo Leilua Katoa
    Moses Mann
    Capewell Crichton
    Tedesco Papi Drinky

    Carrigan Grant Rudolf Magoulias (loop)
    Hopoate Kennedy Luai Wiliame

434K itb, lets me get whoever the best cow is next week e.g. Paix and get in a gun of choice e.g. Cleary

Kind of want to get in Paix over Crichton (another ctr but should score well). But want to watch Paix first before getting him. Could be a low scoring hooker, even if 80min, along the lines of Egan

There's moneyball, but its not running contests at the moment. I didn't like it though, the scoring was more supercoach than supercoach it was basically just pick the try scorers and I could never do well there.

I don’t have any real thoughts on how long Paix might get starting at DH but IMO there is no way Glenn plays big minutes at hooker on his return. He may be used to spell Paix briefly late in the game, or even take the sting out early, but Glenn is nothing more than a stop gap / rest option. Whoever is designated hooker should play 55-65 minutes I would think, unless you have 2 genuine hookers like the cows.

Broncs have been grooming Paix as a 9 since last season and let Macca go. They must have faith.

I'm selling. Question is whether I want to waste trades on centres and bring Crichton in, or just play Wiliame there for now and trade Aubusson to a gun hooker/forward/teddy

I had the exact same question and have gone with Walters and aubbs + cash to paix and cook, keeping Taumalolo and stopping me wasting any more trades for now

I think I get caught up on wanting someone excellent in each position at times rather than simply making sure as many players in my team as possible are underpriced so that cash and points both flow

Williame will do for a few weeks until I move on Latrell, Hopoate, Burns etc

Would have preferred Aubbo named on the bench, makes Angus Crichton a little more risky. Think I'll still run with him, but considering both Mofo and Matterson as alternates. If I go with Mofo I would probably be able to grab Murray aswell next week

Cheers mate gone a different direction for POD goodness. Going

    JMK - Paix
    Aubbs - McInnes

I really like those trades Aubbs could be anything this year McInnes is a decent PoD and I dont rate JMK that much.

Agree. JMK will be nothing more than a mid range plodder.

I think I'll just trade Brailey to Capewell. Gut feel on Brailey is nothing more than what he's producing.

JMK is a funny one, priced mid 500s, should average 50 ish, which means he has about $200k to increase, but at the same time is one of my more likely trade outs.

Righto trades for this week nearly done
    Williams, Aubs & Walters out
    Ponga, Paix & sCrichton/JTB in

    leaves me

    Koro
    Haas Cardigan
    Matto, Lucy, Katoa
    Moses Mann
    Capewell, Loma
    Ponga, Papy, Drink

    Brailey, Grant, Hopate, JTB/Crichton
    Wiliame, Rudolf, Paix, Lolo

Whats the verdict on Crichton vs JTB? I don't actually need a CTR so am leaning towards the forward but SC may be useful once Lomax peaks.

Any thoughts would be good (bench order is fine will sort out myself later)

Good on you one and all
