Liking my PODiness, I have all of the top 5, but then just 1 of the next 8 owned, and it is HTF, so not even a scoring player.

Thats the kind of risk I am looking for. Can't catch people with the same players they all have. With Haas looking to have a 65 minute role with their forwards back, Twal and Fifita should significantly outscore Haas and Kerr.

Whats the thoughts around Hetheringtons minutes and expected average (Assuming he doesn't get suspended?)

I'm a warriors supporter but I have no idea what the plan is with their pack at the moment. New coach, massively under performing players. Maybe the kid gets a decent knock?

This is in my opinion the best way to grab PODs. Rather than missing top tier guns, avoid the players you don't believe in the scoring potential of. From the below list I think the boat has sailed on Talau, Flanagan won't maintain scores, Matterson and Sione are over priced

    Turbo, Murray, Leilua
    Brown/Pearce, Mann
    Crichton, Talau

Kerr shouldn't be a best 17 player though.

I don't really think trading out Haas is a risk worth taking, the potential for big gain is basically hoping he cops an injury early in a game, I don't like that tbh. If he goes down you might be 50pts better off than everyone for that week but next week people can trade Haas to anyone they like and its back to square one.

As always though, play the game how you want to play it!

At 45 average from here, SMat is worth $585k, current price $560k, 2RF/CTR and best scoring CTR in the game, priceless.

Flanagan has got around 55 points of base stats the last couple of weeks (including goal kicking), anything extra is great. Playing in a team that will score a lot of tries and he will be amongst the TAs and Tries this season.

My main takeaway from the ownership is that me, Welshy and one other are the only ones on B Lee in the top 1000. What a super POD!

Kerr is my 17th player at the moment. Why I am looking at ways to upgrade him and give myself a chance to jump ranks. Haas is likely over-valued at the moment as a 65 minute player, better to spend that on an under-valued player like Twal that will come close to matching him, playing 80 minutes, take the cash and upgrade Kerr to a 17th man quality player like Fifita or Tevaga.

Most are playing Haas as Captain, if he scores 10, most are copping a 20 for their captain, while I should be getting around 150. 130 points is a lot to catch up in a week. If par is 850 and I get 980, that is a lot of ranks to jump. It may not happen, but if it does, there is huge upside.

I’ve succumbed to common sense/boringness and bringing in Jurbo for 54-56 pts every week.

Was tempted to get Flanagan - I feel like he could be like last year Moses and just keep scoring against expectations. But I’m more tempted by this year Moses at sub 700k in about one month

Have traded Rudolf out but trading JTB out doesn't allow me to get a proper gun. Trading Luciano allows me to get in to that next tier including Mofo, Tohu etc
Have stuck with Harris in for now and 3 trades used this week. Going to try to be patient for guys like Twal, Moses etc to drop before trading them in.

Haas is less overrvalued now than he was at the start of the season when you selected him IMO. I also don’t think there’s much scoring difference between 65 and 80 min Haas. But if you think it’s the only way to upgrade Kerr, you could do it I guess.

The key difference is that while the price point is similar, the magic number has changed significantly. At the start of the season he was priced at $999k which was 69 points. Now at $972k he is priced at 75 points, using a magic number of 13,000. In games <70 minutes this season he has averaged just 68. Excluding his injury game this season, Twal has averaged 65 for almost $200k less.

SMats best season average in 2nd row is 42 in 2016, from 4 games. Hasn't averaged over 40 any other season.

Other than that, he is a 36 average player. So although there might be a boost with the new ruck rules, I don't think I'd expect him to maintain his current high scoring.
Can still be one of the top CTRs if fit, so certainly wouldn't trade him out if I had him, but wouldn't trade him in expecting price rises

This reeks of you trading out Cook right before he tonned up last year.
You were one of the greatest proponents of Haas pre-season and he has vindicated your claims.
Don’t undo all your good work by trading him out!
There are just a handful of players you can bank on to go 60+ each and every week for a reliable captaincy score. If Haas scores the inevitable try and you are the 1% without him it will be agony
