I did a TU/TD on Sironen vs McIntrye, was 6-0 to McIntyre. I'm still going Sironen anyway lol. Also waiting for next week on Niu, he's going to 212k or very close again.

I can't really offer much on the halves. Haven't really looked at Cleary as can't see away to bring him in any time soon.

Haha yeah sometimes using the tu/td and going the other way can work out if it results in a pod. Mcintyre does have DPP which is appealing, but have seen some posts here about sironen as well which makes you double think

    The way I see it:

Cleary: premium half option, probably highest averaging half by end of year. Great base stats
DCE: bit cheaper than Cleary and still averaging 57 with hardly any attacking stats yet this year. Assuming does more work with Turbo out - still got a 40 in a thrashing last week by Sharks
SJ: similar price to DCE. a POD option with very low ownership and we all know what he's capable of. Also good base with goal kicks

    Thoughts...

    a)
    Drinkwater/Moses/Lucy/Paix OUT
    Cleary/Niu/Tedesco/Sironen or Hetherington IN + 11K

Makes my bench Koro, Rudolf, Luai Niu

    b)
    Moses/Paix/Drinkwater or Rudolf OUT
    Cleary/Niu/Young IN + 63K

Makes my bench Koro, Lucy, Young, one of Rudolf/DW/Niu/HTF/Luai/Crichton

Surely b is the more sensible option? Or just go all in for Teddy and Cleary

    BUMP

If you can get Cleary and Teddy in this week you do it right?

Even if your bench is that thin?

My team this week looking like

    Koro
    Haas Mofo
    Lolo Jurbo RFM
    Cleary Mann
    Talau Latrell
    Teddy Ponga Pappy

    Friend Grant Carrigan Young
    Fog Crichton Hammer Niu

Lolo in is the one I am thinking about - might go someone cheaper, to potentially allow double trade of Mann/RFM to DCE/Taupau next week.
Or just hold RFM whilst he is scoring well.

Think Mann will be upgraded soon - 2 tries in 2 weeks gives him a nice price, but I think he has just about peaked, so will take the money and run

I would think you can wait a week on Teddy, against the storm do we see him getting anything over 55? Average is 42 against storm and against the eels who have a similar defensive record he was going to be lucky to crack 50

I would say Teddy yes, Cleary no if I could pick just one
The difference between teddy consistently pumping out big scores vs say a Drinkwater who is up and down is huge.
Where you could get away with a Fogarty/Wakeham type player for a while

Rudolf,Niu,Rudolf is asking for trouble unfortunately
If anything find a way so you are gambling only on say the 17 spot rather than 3 gambles

Anyone considering old man Smithy? Averaged over 70 for games without Munster last year - assuming takes more control with a Hughes/Jacks halves pairing for the next month

Priced similarly to Teddy for a more consistent output + goal kicking

There's the 'plenty of high scoring HOK' vs 'not many high WFB' argument too but Smithy could be in for a big month, and rest of year really

As good as Tedesco is, he gives you a worse 14-17, less cash and less money making ability

I'd be tempted for B and hope Teddy has a quiet game against the Storm so you can try and bring him in in a week or 2.

Is anybody worried that Young is just going to get suspended after 1-2 games and be missing for a buch of games thanks to his record?

Thinking of trading in Teddy and Cleary, does it make my bench too thin?

Luai, JTB Lucy - Niu, Young, Taumalolo

Not 100% sure on that last one, as a few options other than Taumalolo that could be good. But often when I go a cheaper option for cash I end up regretting it when the more expensive guy proves his worth (eg went Jurbo over Matterson last week, not necessarily worth it)

Thanks guys...I think I am leaning that way.

I did flirt with the idea of holding Moses and grabbing Teddy this week. Which means Rudolf/Lucy/Drinkwater/Paix OUT Young/Teddy/Niu/Sironen IN + 143K This will allow me to go Luai to Tapau in a couple week hopefully, and Moses will be back by then.

Saves a trade down the track and bench is Grant Young Farns Niu

EDIT: Means playing Luai at half for a couple weeks.

Lolo up against an Eels pack that are riding high. Cowboys coming off a win they shouldn't have got and needed to win another 1-2 games over this stretch they will be up for the task. Lolo knows he has been a bit down the last couple week and needs to step it up and will relish this challenge against the Eels big boys. expect a big one.

Its not a great bench - what were the other trades to allow it? I assume Hetherington was one

DCE over Cleary may be a bit better for overall squad balance.

Anyway you can swing Crichton to Hudson Young or something (assuming you like the cut of Young's jib) You don't need Crichton positionally so a better scorer there would be a big help

In a very similar position, only looking at bringing in DCE/Ponga to leave me with a bench of Friend Grant and two of HTF/Niu/Hetherington. No halves cover, 3 red dots, and Hetherington only forward cover.

Other option is Cleary/Young for a bench of Friend, Grant, Carrigan, Luai/HTF/Niu.

    Second option surely more sensible?
