Yep, I got Ponga last week and extra trades allowed me to get Teddy this week.Pookus McFly wrote:Extra trades gripe #3002
My only advantage over most other teams was already having both Teddy and Ponga. I haven’t even got to have them both on the park in the same round before that has just become standard for most teams.

I reckon it's a bit of a smoke screen. Bateman will have "niggling" injuries all year and barely play. It's pretty clear he doesn't want to be there
I reckon hes played his last game for Raiders already

I am really liking this as an HTF and Hess owner, Opacic set up 2 tries last week, 1 to his wing and 1 to Hess. Great to have a distributing center.StormTrooper96 wrote:

Too late for Fogarty? A 40 Average still sees him make a chunk of cash... anything more than that and we're laughing?

Looking at Nikora - there’s a previously good scorer who’s dropped off the radar. He’s missed a few tackles, conceded a few penalties and managed to score 47 over 80 with a try.
But. He’s quick and playing 80 outside SJ with a nice series of fixtures to look forward to. At 577 with a BE of 44 he won’t set any hearts a-flutter unless he finds the tryline. But he really might.
Anyone tempted?

I haven't got TED yet (and have serious fomo) but have Ponga and would prioritise a gun half and/or one of the established gun hookers before worrying about completing the Ponga/Ted backline.
Similar priced players to Ted are Cook, Smith, Cleary, Lolo.
Well the WFB and CTR's can be a real rubbish position as we all know. Setting it up and being done with it appeals to me.
In other positions there are plenty of guns to choose from and work towards. With WFB it's pretty much just Teddy since I already have Ponga.

Yep. My question about Nikora. Just above you.
Oh, and like 400 versions of “oh no Teddy or Cleary? Or maybe CS9!?!? Help!”
FWIW, I’m leaning Teddy.

Young 100k cheaper and just as likely to plow over mate. Need a purple patch from Nikora to make it worth itL-Jimmy wrote:Looking at Nikora - there’s a previously good scorer who’s dropped off the radar. He’s missed a few tackles, conceded a few penalties and managed to score 47 over 80 with a try.

I can't go without Cook this week. Has insane 75.2 avg since Rd 3 rule changes

Can't bring in Teddy and not looking at any Storm/Roosters players. Will run out tonight as is and decide on whether or not I make a 4th trade tomorrow.

Seems to me like investing a lot of cash in a boom bust scenario and leaving gaps in areas where you can have a more consistent good scorers.
In saying that I have always tried to balance the team and have finished alright but never won shit so maybe there's something in it.
Im not setting up backs first, thats just where I am now weakest. Hok/frf/2rf/hlfs are all strong altho a couple will require upgrades to top tier guys if cash allows it. In no way urgent tho

Great trade-in. Kind of inflated by his 101. Currently priced around his current average and his avg without the 101 since returning. Remeber you aren't trading him in for last weeks points. Don't get me wrong I would love to have Cook but that 75.2 may not be his true average with the new rule changes.

Yes to cheaper. No to just as likely to plot over. Sure he’s got nutcase speed, but the Raiders attack really hasn’t looked all that. Williams could be very solid, but SJ looks way more dangerous in terms of putting over his outside men.
What’s that Shark’s edge? SJ -> Nikora, Ramien, Katoa?
Dangerously tempting I reckon.

Fun fact: Young has more eye gouges than NRL tries in his career

I’m setting up backline now to hopefully forget because Ted/Ponga are so far ahead of any other WFB is too frightening to miss. If I get that sorted now I can just pick off the value signings in other positions with form drops and or mid injuries comes into play. Taupau/Moses etc where the points amongst so many other positions are easier to find

Nikora far more likely to go over. But that 100k and similar averages regardless I don’t think it’s worth the investment, punting he scores multiple times in next 5/6 weeks. Whilst still not out of the realms of possibility Young goes over or goes big regardless. Or gets suspended againCamo123 wrote:
