Given their soft draw (3 top 8 teams until end) and that they're top of ladder, surely they wouldn't risk him in final rounds of season maybe more than once to get match fitness as they should make finals which would be more important

I would say he probably comes off the bench first game (R17) to get a match under his belt and then I reckon they would want their full strength squad getting a couple regular season games under their belt heading into the finals. (R18-20).

When I made the original post I forgot the season was only 20 rounds instead of 25.

Was that lone scout post about extra trades for real because I have 4 injuries so 2 extra trades

Casualty ward has him at R14-15 return.
But then there is this speculation from a non official page giving me wishful thinking

I have done a little bit of digging due to interest in Aubbs and the only thing I can find from a reliable source is the official roosters injury report that labelled it as "moderate" grade.

Most have assumed thats a grade 2, but if it's on the NRL casualty ward, then perhaps some confirmation? I don't know that the NRL digital guys really have any more knowledge than we do though.

I think they probably just go off what they hear from physio’s etc. Like NRL Physio saying grade 2 generally 3-5 weeks.
