SBW will be a while off yet. Aubbo looks pretty safe the next 3-4 weeks.

Pending results of TLT, I think I'm looking at Kerr/Field out for:

    Thompson/Aubbs

    Or

    Taupau/Randall

First scenario gives me a good full squad until Crichton returns when I play roulette with McIntyre, Averillo and Talau as my second centre (with Lomax).

Second scenario means I just keep playing centre roulette from here on in.

I don't see SBW as anything other than a money maker for the Roosters such as merchandising because he's an old injury prone hack.

I don't get the point of the SBW signing at all. I know how great he used to be, but a 35-year-old who hasn't played league in years, was last seen as a publicity signing off the bench for a team full of journeymen at the bottom of Super League, and who won't have trained since March because Europe locked down. Honestly can't see him doing anything more than 15-minute impact shifts in the middle, if anything... the Roosters obviously want him for *something*, but can't see the sense in it.

It'll be less for his output on the field but more his influence. He's the ultimate professional. All the stories I hear about him in camp and how he lifts those around him

Will SBW be a 2RF/CTR $212 cash out?

Big drama's at training last night for team White Lightning. Both Mann & C. Smith had a punch up because Kurt was in a bad mood because he didn't get the ta & then Cameron made some smart comment which Kurt didn't appreciate & fired back you get those every week old man.....then it was on & the fight didn't last long because Kurt knocked out Cameron within 5 seconds with a double jab & right hook. In fact it was so quick the boys didn't have time to pull them apart. In fact Kurt is so fast that when he goes to bed he can turn off the light switch & be in bed before the light goes off.

Seems to tally with Chookpen post about 6-8 weeks. I'll hold him as McInnes placeholder until DPP I think

Yeah there was a fair bit of tension in my team too with Lomax bragging about his scoring ability which didn't go down well with Tauk and Averilo who both struggled getting the ball down on the weekend. Luckily Cherry Evans managed to settle the situation.

I completely agree with you, it seems more like an off field/ambassador role. Being around training will certainly help the youngsters with professionalism and probably pay off long term, but don't think he will add much on the field this year
The Roosters are gunning for the 3peat so any little advantages they can get are a must, i think Brad Arthur has seen this which has helped with his decision to send Alvaro and Jennings to the Warriors, they should be in the Warrior 17 and with no second tier comp and injuries, these 2 could factor into the equation come finals

NRL Physio saying that Cordner has had 2 concussions this month. Has to be a significant concern, Aubbs may get a lot of game time the rest of the season

Can only get ONE of these guys in. Would like some feedback/logic as to who's the best buy

    Smith 870k
    - The real budget option
    - Doesn't make as many tackles but gets his points from goal kicks and play making, so scores better in big wins
    - Doesn't have the ceiling of the other two but a safe option and saves on $

    Cook 936k
    - Averaging 74 since the season restart
    - High ceiling with great attacking stats and still makes 50 odd tackles a game
    - Most expensive

    McInnes 924k
    - Likely to get DPP 2RF which is useful
    - Scores dip a bit when playing at lock but still plays 80min and gets through a lot of work
    - Would be an obvious choice if at hooker for the rest of the year

The way he's had them over his career have been really bad. The one in Origin where he was knocked senseless was awful.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him not play again this year.

In 2019 starting prop in games minimum 30 mins played he averaged 38 in 42 mins. I think that's about what to expect and he costs 478k. I think people are hyping him too much

LS replying to question about McInnes DPP.

McInnes has had a few starts at lock and is set to be the Dragons’ first-choice lock in the run home so he’s likely to get DPP regardless of where he’s named this week (there hasn’t been a strict 4-game requirement for DPP in the last couple of years).

Cook could single handedly win you games. The others are great scorers but I'd back Cookie
