HOK: Interesting going the cheaper Hooker. Could be great.

FRF: Love ah mau, Douglas should be solid. There are better options in the 2RF for Douglas if you want to move Burgess up, but I am guessing you like the stacked 2RF. Trbojevic will be great.

2RF: Yeah.. It is good, though do you think Taupau will get more than 50 minutes a game with Leary/Buhrer/Symonds/Brown/Mateo?

HLF: Not sure how much Milford will improve on his scores, with guys like Maloney/Mullen there they could be alternative options. Milford while having potential to bust out massive scores can also produce lackluster scores in the 20s. He will average reasonably well throughout the season. I just think Maloney/Mullen are more consistent and have potential to average higher. (Particularly Maloney who won't have Pearce doing a lot of the kicking this year.)

CTR/WFB: Nothing wrong with CTR or WFB.

    and I am done.

If you only had to have 1 hitup a game he would be the best player in the NRL. Does not have the motor for big minutes

Last year Matagi ave 23.4 in 26.8 minutes for a 0.87ppm. He only manage 7 games and gets a 9% discount. He needs minutes on the park to be of value

Thanks for the comments. Like I said to Welshy, I think Douglas will be a good reliable POD this season. Taupau - if he only averages 50min, then he's no worse minutes wise than he was last year (49min), and I think he'll get more tries and line breaks this year.

    Gun Backs team.

    HOK: J. Granville (M. Parcell)
FRF: J. Trbojevic, L. ah Mau (D. Alvaro, NPR)
2RF: R. Rochow, J. Tapine, E. Whitehead (NPR, NPR, NPR)
    HLF: D. Cherry-Evans, J. Thurston (NPR, NPR)
CTR: B. Ferguson, K. Hurrell (D. Copley, NPR)
    WFB: R. Tuivasa-Scheck, J. Tedesco, S. Radradra (NPR, NPR)

    Cash Remaining: $53 000

    - Will look to upgrade Granville -> Lichaa/Peats/Segeyaro if bench hooker is named for the Cowboys.
    - Parcell likely to become Nikorima pending teamlists.
    - Not 100% sold on Alvaro yet.
    - Whitehead is there pending teamlists. (Hoping Papalii plays FRF)
    - Not 100% sold on Hurrellcane

I don't think Hurrell comes under the gun category haha. Radradra could regress playing outside the ball hog Jennings. I notice you're a big Ah Mau & Trbojevic fan. So am I. With the minutes being an uncertainty in the Manly pack do you think Trbojevic will get good minutes as there's Myles, Brown, Taupau & Buhrer to contend with.

Id beware of Tapine, Knights have offered him a good contract but Canberra offered big money, Brown told him you sign for Canberra and youll be playing NSW cup for the year.

In his form seasons prior to 2015 he was quick out of the blocks, posting some massive scores early on.  That and Origin means if you are having him at some stage then may as well be from Round 1.  I don't have him and probably won't.

Yeah I read that on one of the Knights forums. The Knights fans are already loving Brown for making a stand & putting Tapine in his place. I don't think he'll sign for the Raiders as he won't want to play reserve grade all year. There's some pretty big wraps on Tapine so I think he's a good pick. He also has a very good chance of starting along with Rochow. However I think having both Rochow & Tapine in your team is 1 Knight too many.

Having both Rochow & Tapine is the best insurance you've picked the right one when tariq comes back. Likely a committed trade for the wrong one. But a trade with profit you'd think

I can't see Tapine leaving the Knights. We stood by him during the assault charge and he wanted to repay the faith shown to him.

I think he will resign with us but I really think he is best coming off the bench, he's an impact 2nd rower at the moment. He's not someone to start the game and grind it out, not yet anyway.
