NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 84 - Spendng our last trade on a CTR

So looking at who I can bring in as my last trade I can go Randall to Hiku or Will Hopoate, who do we think is best of these 2? Is it worthwhile to use the trade?

If I go Randall to Hiku it leaves me with this and 0 trades left:

McInnes
Haas MoFo
Murray Matterson Lucy
Cleary Pearce
Crichton Peachey
Teddy Hammer Hiku

Hunt Carrigan Taupau Siro
Koloamatangi Ponga Pap Niu


If I don’t go Randall to Hiku or Hopoate and I hold the trade if Teddy doesn’t play I’m down to 15 men.


Edit: I am worried re overall rank but I am in quite a lot of head to head prelims also the week after so it’s a catch 22. I think I care more about overall though.

Then at night I’m off to BankWest to see the mighty Bunnies so a big day planned. Then on Friday I have to work for 10 hours and be supervisor of closing the store so a busy couple of days coming up, been a big week actually.

I’m just in charge when they desperately need back up lol I wish I wasn’t as well get the added stress.

Thoughts above this post re my trade options please? Would you pull the trigger?

You are in a tough spot. I haven't looked at Hiku though. Played well last week though I guess.

I'm in basically the same position as you. 1 trade left and playing 16 or 15 if Teddy is also out.

I think holding the trade is the correct play as there's still the risk of a top 17 missing 2 weeks after this.

If Ted plays cop the 16 you reckon? If Ted doesn’t play go Randall to Hiku?

Thanks mate, as I said to Wolfie just above though, pull the trigger on Randall to Hiku if Teddy is out and I’m down to 15? Issue is if Teddy is out I’m really down to 14 as I expect Hammer to score less than 10 against the Storm.

I don’t have many options if I do trade they have to be under 493k and Hiku is DPP and plays late in the round.

Hold ya trade Rabs, Hiku's 29pts isn't worth your last trade imo.

The way I see it is that Teddy out gives me even more reason to hold trades. 96% of the top 500 have Teddy and 98% have Ponga and I doubt many if any can field 17 with both out plus the ones with Pap out. So they either burn a trade, of which half these teams probably don't have, or they're in the exact same position as me.

Trading this week gives me ~30 points if its a 18-21 player out for a random WFB/CTR or I trade out Pap and gain ~40-50 points this week and maybe a few more in the last couple. Losing Cleary or Haas etc for 2 weeks is closer to 50 or 60 points as an upgrade on Siro. Or McIntyre gets dropped and I lose another WFB/CTR and I'm down 30-40 points a round if I can't trade.

I think its close but trading gives me a small points boost with some risk but holding averts most of that risk with potential for even bigger gains in the last round or 2.

I have quite a number of head to head prelims next week as well. I have my L10 week 2 final v Goat Boys this week, but he’s probs in a similar situation and if he beats me he deserves it anyway as he’s even higher than me in the overall ranks so if he beats me I can only hope he takes out L10.

I am more concerned for overall but say Haas or Cleary or even MoFo were to get injured this round then yeah I’d rather have the trade to use on that next week.

What tier Membership do you have mate, assuming you're right up there to get tix for every Bunnies game at the moment? Or do you know someone?

This should give me enough cover to be good for the last 2 rounds unless something crazy happens.

Haven't seen LB post for a couple of days and no Ponga banner incoming. Maybe the bloke is being selfless and leaving a window open for another Fanatic to create their own personal Opus again?

I’m a diamond member mate, have been since 2011. Wests and Souths have a reciprocal rights agreement in place for ticketed members so that’s how I get entry this week even though it’s a Wests home game. Earlier in the year we gave Wests members GA entry as well even though it was our home game. 

Well done to both clubs I say.
