Wighton is definitely a better 5/8 than centre.
Walker should be nowhere near this team, nor should Gutherson.

Playing out of position isn't really an excuse for the top shelf players.

Not to disappointed with 21st, basically mid pack. Going Brimson over Munster really hurts though. Gutherson surprisingly ended up not being a trap with 58 from centre the other suprise being Friend getting 80 minutes.

Classic Origin game in that NSW can never put together a full 80. I mean QLD didn’t either but they always do just enough when “on” and prevent just enough when “off”

Wonder if Fittler throws out 12 months of planning and makes 7 changes again this year? It’ll work twice, right???

To be honest I thought that was going to be another card with 1 play to go. Seemed pretty cynical.

Never underestimate a QLD that has been written off by the Press. Especially one where Mal and the old man are involved.

That's how I saw it too.

NSW dominated large parts of the first half, but needed more than 2 tries out of it.

Normally you'd back Cleary as a better kicker than DCE, but 1 more conversion from him and it would likely have been golden point.

I do think NSW should have had 1 more play though. Tedesco looked to have played it in time (the ch9 clock stopped on 79:59, maybe it didn't match the game clock) but could also have had a penalty. QLD probably could have held out 1 play though

I also thought the ref blew it early - the siren went after his whistle as well as the Ch9 clock being 79:59 after the play the ball. But I think NSW have much bigger problems than inconsistent timing.

Fuck.. I thought I changed my B.Lee pick... oh well.. just for fun. Will have to try find 60 points somewhere next week.

So every punter seems to blame Keary for the loss. My question is why was Whighton playing Ctr with the form Ctr of the comp, Lomax, in the squad?

Because he did a great job last year and deserved to retain the spot.

I thought the centers for both teams were caught out in defense for not being centers. It's a different strategy than a winger or fullback and it showed. The best 17 players idea might need a re-think.
