Also, 1on1 steals do not seem to be factored into player prices. So if you think Munster/Hodgson/whoever will be a good for that stat then it will represent value

I don't really understand the Milford interest at all

His 5/8 stats from 2019 to 2020, although there is a 20 average difference aren't all that dissimilar. The major difference is a massive drop in KM (413 to 240) which I can't really seem him regaining with Dearden gaining more experience. 2020 slight increase in errors/MT/penalties but can't really predict change

Matt Lodge got a small price bump based on his 2020 stats (should have only been $377k for having played 6 games) Everyone else seems to be priced as per 2020 average with no manual adjustments

Milford will get more attacking stats surely under Walters which is why I think I’m interested. He’s on my watchlist. He only had 130 less kick metres a game last season so that’s around 7 points less. So there is still some upside there if Walters gets him going and running the ball...

Wow, we're back into it, time flies eh!

Good to see everyone for another year. I quite like these rule changes too.

1 on 1 strips will not be a reliable stat and you won’t be able to count on any player to get one a game so unless you are using it as a tiebreak between two players it shouldn’t be taken into too much consideration IMO

His price is hard to ignore with his pointing potential.

Milford is one who probably won’t go straight back to his 50+ scoring, if he does, so you can probably wait and see and swap him for one of you middle priced players which don’t work out

My problem with Milford is he used to be the fantasy player he was solely on his reliability to kick 400-500+ kick metres a game which along with a few tackles gave him a solid floor around 30 without his high amount of kick metres his floor will drop along way

I agree with others in that it is unlikely he will kick as much as he has in the past, but I doubt Dearden takes on all kicking, so Milford might still have reasonable numbers there. Dearden really struggled for distance/positioning last year so we will have to see how that plays out this year.

If you start with Milford you probably need to ride it out. If you don't have him and he scores a 90 in week three after a couple of 30's, then you've probably missed the boom score anyway.

At this point I'd prefer to give him a miss but the Broncos will pump out plenty of fluff pieces before round 1 that will suck me in, I'm sure.

Fantasy aside, I'm still a big Milford believer, and I think he will have a good year.

I think a lot may come down to pricing and team makeup. If there is no cash cows starting in the halves, he might be one just to punt on to allow the cash to gun up somewhere else and hope for the best.

At least at Milford price and skill level he shouldn’t drop in price

If a cow pops up and Milford is mediocre it's an easy downgrade too.

What role does everyone expect Asiata to play? At 300k if he starts he would be an absolute steal

Can't see him starting at full strength.

Mins is anyones guess, probably 30 - 35 though. Haas Lodge Flegler & Carrigan will all get a good share and Walters has stated that he wants Pangai playing middle of the field too.

Not so fantasy relevant but it will be rather interesting to see who Walters goes for at hooker. I would assume it is Turpin but I guess you never know.

Jack Bird at a low price after injury affected years. Looking at a Second Row spot could be a decent cheapie

Why do we believe Walters will all of a sudden spark all this attack out of the Broncos??

Pre season hope? He was the halves coach in 2015 when Milford had a great season.

I think we'll be better this year but end up around 10th to 12th, not expecting miracles.

All talk is that pre season has been spent learning how to defend, so I don't really expect anything amazing out of the attack in the first month of the year. Will all be about attitude.

Think I'll be staying away from the top 3 - too much went right for them last year that makes it hard to repeat.

Will be looking at Cook, Taumalolo, Crichton as my captaincy options. Ideally will be able to fit 2 of these in
