Didn't seem to be ahead of him when they were both available for selection, but yeah Tapine did have great form in the finals.
It will be interesting to see what direction Sticky goes.
On Horsburgh as a fantasy option.
Last year he was priced at $465k when the Raiders were notably short on forward depth (and had some key injuries to start the year - even then he was a fairly tenuous selection choice that ended up working out okay.
I can't see much benefit going down that road this year when he is $100k more expensive AND the Raiders have better depth (and currently no forward pack injuries of note).

Tuivasa-Sheck addressed the media alongside Warriors CEO Cameron George and new coach Nathan Brown and confirmed he would be released from the final year of his contract in 2022.
"This will be my last year with the club and I will be moving to NZ rugby next year," Tuivasa-Sheck said.

Suaalii in the emerging NSW squad lol. Looking at the squad, not sure the point of it? Be a long shot for more than a handful to play Origin in the next 2-3 (even 5) years. There’s a bunch of guys in there who will be struggling to consistently play first grade this season.

Don’t think Suaalii should get an exemption to play NRL at u18 btw. It’s a very different world since the semi-pro days when the likes of Brasher and Fittler made their debuts in school - these are full time athletes now, the game is significantly faster, the average player is probably 15kgs bigger. Suaalii obviously has great genetics but it’s still a boy against men, and if his body is still developing injuries are a significant risk.

I'd rather not have Kurt "I've never read a book in my life" Mann at my club, thanks.

If Moses Leota gets some more minutes does anyone think there is value there?

Did Fifita have to wait until he was 18 to play? I can't remember?

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 2 - Backdoor Entry
Interesting talk about SST on the TK podcast. Basically confirmed 1st choice GK, which means he'll need to be on field for most of the game
Probably 3 goals/game (6 points) which pushes him close to 10 points underpriced when you exclude his 2 games under 30 mins in massive blowouts against Broncos
Still such an awkward price range though

To be fair, at 98kg he's probably also close to 15kg heavier than Brasher and Fittler would've been when they debuted.
Anyway, sounds like Roosters got told to go away and put a proper proposal together - one that actual has a plan to safeguard his mental and physical health etc

Payne Haas certainly did, and let's face it, he certainly could've played limited minutes long before he turned 18.

Priced.... low 20s? Rumoured to be starting lock for the Knights. If that happens, he'll score a hell of a lot more than 20.
If he's not starting, I doubt too many will hold onto him.

Gets 40+ minutes off the bench. Doesn't need to be starting.filthridden wrote:

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 2 - Backdoor Entry
Watson played 4 games off the bench last year, for scores of 34, 58, 35 and 9
And his bench average in 2019 was 40
So I suspect there will be a few people interested even if he starts on the bench

I could see him getting decent minutes in the middle off the bench and scoring 40 for decent cash rises with the potential to go boom if and when he gets a start with injuries. Might want him in my NPRs if coming off the bench though, and he's probably cheap enough for that.
Edit: yep basically what the cow said. 2021 Mulvy still echoes it seems.
