Will be interesting to see if Bird does start at centre or it is indeed off the interchange....

    Happy New Year folks

I just logged in and made a team. I have not had time to read much of the discussion yet.

    McInnes
    Ah Mau, Koloamatangi, Gilbert
    Fifita Matterson
    Milford Lam
    Averillo Bird
    Trbojevic, Tedesco, Tuivasa-Scheck

    Liddle Watson Riki Peachey

    Haraweira-Naera, Niu, Moylan, Blore

Is there anyone else worth considering? I hear that there is a chance young Will Penisini may get upgraded to a Top 30 contract at CTR for the Eels. If that is the case and he is named, I reckon he should be in everyone's team.

    Not a chance.

I'll say this. I won't make a draft team for the whole of Feb. 1st March I may start to have a look.

Tricky for Ricki. If he plays one side and Glenn the other and TPJ at lock as everyone thinks then that means Carrigan misses out. Carrigan was captain last year and pencilled in as leader for the next decade of the Broncos. He was one of few shining lights in the Broncos pack last year.

Clearly and edge of Ricki and TPJ looks fantastic in real terms.

I think this too. No way Carrigan doesn’t start also was even thinking he might be on the field longer.

In my opinion Glenn and TPJ will start on the edge with Riki coning off the bench and TPJ moving to the middle.

Over the year there will be a swap with Riki and Glenn but I think that idea will stay

NRL Dreamteam is now open. You can make a very solid team with the funds available.

I am keen to join any leagues that are set up.

I notice some are saying set and forget back 3 of Teddy, Tommy T and Holmes. This though is worth over 1.8 mil of cap space which is a lot to spend on your back 3 to start a season.

If I went with Teddy I’d have to have a cheapie in my back 3 otherwise you lose too many funds from the all important forwards! It is probs unlikely that all these cheap second rowers we are talking about will all start as well....

Ofa is one that slipped my mind. If he gets the minutes Aloiai got he could be worth a buy.

Seriously considering running with Horsburgh, averaged 52 in his games last year (excluding the one he got injured in), at 0.98ppm. Priced at 42 he seems like a decent little alternative to Tino, though I'm not too sure how the minutes will go at the Raiders. I don't see any major reasons why he wouldn't get the 55ish mins he was getting before though, plus he's a bit of a madman and I like that in my side Very Happy

I think Tapine is ahead of him for lock.

Raiders middle was already very strong and added Ryan James, who was a fringe origin player before injury.

I expect there will be rotation week to week with Papalii the only middle to get guaranteed minutes.

James, Tapine, Lui, Horsburgh, Sutton and Soliola are all capable of taking the starting spots at various times

Horsbrah benefitted from a bunch of injuries iirc. I dont see much value in him, id expect reasonable rotation in that raiders pack as MS said. He probably sits around that 40 to 45s area.
