Spencer Leniu is way more talented and I expect him to steal the starting spot from Leota by origin.

Priced.... low 20s? Rumoured to be starting lock for the Knights. If that happens, he'll score a hell of a lot more than 20.
If he's not starting, I doubt too many will hold onto him.

I'm expecting he will be named on the bench round 1, with his role being 50 odd minutes in the middle for 30-35 points. Slow burn while being 1 injury away from big minutes

EDIT: Looks like I was already beaten to the punch on this one

To be fair, at 98kg he's probably also close to 15kg heavier than Brasher and Fittler would've been when they debuted.

Anyway, sounds like Roosters got told to go away and put a proper proposal together - one that actual has a plan to safeguard his mental and physical health etc

True that, not sure Brasher was much over 83kgs at his peak

I know M Pearce (HB) is heavier than W Pearce (BR) without either being under or oversized compared to their colleagues - that to me shows it’s a different game

Anyway, glad the NRL is making the Roosters do some proper due diligence. With the way the contract stuff played out, the kid already feels more like a meal ticket than a person.

Mate not sure how many first graders make the cut if you require book reading. A lot more now than in yesteryear perhaps.

Its more the fact that he seemed proud or too cool to read books.
If you're saying Brandon Smith won't be good for culture, I'm not sure what you expect from Mann in that department.

You're right though, they're both great competitiors who were in great form in 2020.

If named on the bench, as soon as there's an injury, he starts.  Get's TB's for fun too.  He's an easy pick for an EMG, 1-17 If starting.

    A. Fifita has shed a lot of weight...at 1 point in the off-season he weighed 137kg's & now he just has to lose 5kg's to reach his goal weight of 118kg...seems he'll be in the best shape he's been in for a couple of seasons...you could say he's training the fridge down

It's that knee that's the problem.

true but losing the weight will be a good thing for his knee.
actually one guy I'm keen on this year from the sharks is Rudolf. seems he'll be starting lock & in an aging pack he'll be expected to take on more responsibilty & lead the team to a certain extent...maybe more mins as well.

I’m also on the Watson bandwagon. If he’s #14 he’s going to play that Tevaga type 40-55 min bench role with similar output at a fraction of the price

Without having looked at much him and Turbo are basically the only players I’ll 100% own (pending injury). (Edit - and J Brailey)

Which mid would you guys pick out of Tino, Horsburgh or Welch? Horsburgh if he can get the same mins as last year is clearly the best, but I'm also seriously considering Welch, since he's become a forward leader and has a good work rate, plus with Tino leaving there's minutes up for grabs.

If Watson is going to be playing 40-50 mins (scoring say 35-40) why is consensus to stick in EMG?

sharks have too many good props now anyway. I wouldn't mind Fifita as a sneaky draft pick when the big guns are gone, but will avoid him in classic.

If that ends up his role, I won’t be sticking him in the emergency.

I haven't made a squad yet, but coming off the bench there's always that chance of a stinker where they come on a the wrong time and the flow of the game leads to a dud score. Particularly round 1 where we'll be guessing what the rotations will actually be like. Even a score of 30 will give him price rises, but I'd want more than that for my scorers. Then again, I'll play him if I think he's going to score more than the other 4 int players.

Nice team. Id be a bit nervous about only having Averillo to cover a high scoring position like your halves
