Every man and his dog can see that an edge involving Keary, Crichton, Manu and BMoz is a huge attacking threat. Would be incredibly surprised if every coach in the NRL wasn't doing plenty of video work and planning for this side.

I believe everyone assumes Capewell won't be named to start. If he is there come TLT then there will probably be movement to bring him in
All reports are Pangai will play in the middle, but he's not cheap, and with Haas and Carrigan around, opportunities for big minutes might no tbe around. Also potential for Lodge to get gametime, plus a few rumours that Asiata might be starting lock. Personally I'm avoiding all Brisbane middles to start the season due to uncertainty around role. Especially with Haas missing the first couple, so you can't trust the round 1 team to continue
You'd have to think that Haas would play fewer minutes than last year and I had the impression that Brisbane were trying to get rid of Lodge and he was a bit on the outer. With Pangai back that enables them to focus on him more. If Pangai is in the middle, I would not expect either Flegler or Lodge to start ahead of him. Maybe a full-strength forward pack would be:
8. Haas
9. Turpin
10. Pangai Junior
11. Glenn
12. Oates
13. Carrigan
14. Asiata
15. Flegler
16. Lodge
17. Riki

I mean, where are all just guessing.
Everyone suddenly assuming Oates is starting based on him saying he is training on the edge (which has been the case all season).
Lodge will be there this year, he isn't going anywhere, I think he'll start when haas is back, but that's just my opinion (although he has been training as starting prop all pre-season).
One somewhat certainty is that Walters has stated a number of times that Pangai will be playing in the middle this season (pangai has also confirmed this). That could still change, but I doubt it unless there are a heap of injuries to edge forwards again.
Walters is playing everything pretty close to his chest. He will talk up every player he is asked about, so its all kind of meaningless until a week before round 1.

Pangai already averages 57 minutes when played as starting lock/prop
Personally, I don't foresee a big increase on that. And I don't see a big increase in output to justify his starting price.

The threat of Crichton is perfect for Keary to throw the dummy and go himself

And the threat of Keary running the ball is perfect for Crichton to recieve a short ball and cross the white line

I know I've mentioned it before and there were mixed reactions but I have D Saifiti in my team and I am trying really hard to get him out. I prefer him to Taukiaeho who I don't see anything special in, I have been burnt by him before, No MIDs under Saifiti stick out or have been mentioned much and the only other ones are Tevaga who has too much of a question mark and JFH who while I don't mind had alot of bad scores in big minute games so an increase of minutes (if he gets that) might not correlate to better scores. Saifiti is 24 just played origin, a consistent big minute prop with an excellent PPM please persuade me out of getting him, or not

Draft 38:
JBrailey
Crichton Saifiti Koala
Fifita Davey
Cleary Munster
Roberts Bird
Tedesco TTurbo Laurie
Lam Riki Watson Liddle
Blore Niu +590k (between Averillo, Alvaro, Hola, Stefano or others which pop up)
Will have to wait until closer to see if Laurie is an option and if not will try and upgrade him to Ramsay

OK. While I am dead-set against posting every "iteration" draft of my team, especially as players are already going down injured and we've only had one week of trial games, here's the Bludgers with Angus brought in as gun mid.
Grant
Watson / Angus / LAM
DFifi / Davey
(C)leary / Lam
Bird / Hoppo
Simonsson / Teddy / Turbo
14-17
JBrailey
Liddle
BMM
Blore (until any injury news is confirmed)
18-21
Moylan
Roberts
Averillo
Hola
After burning way too many trades on busted Centres last year, I want to make sure a couple of them can break before I'm forced to trade to field 17 players week to week.
Keeping an eye on Riki, Ramsey, Oates, LCroker, Tino (who will move in for Angus should anything happen there), Munster (replaces Lam if Tino gets in) and Niu. There's certainly a whole heap of cows stinking up the back paddock.

Geez, I clean forgot about Koala and Laurie.
Like I said earlier ... the Moos are everywhere.

Interesting. Was he really that bad a player to have fallen as far from grace as he has? Seems a quick, sharp fall into oblivion for the young fella.
And what exactly is the "injury crisis" at the Eels I saw in the headlines linked to this story? I can't read the Daily Telegraph stories, but I wasn't aware of any crisis' at Eels already?
And I just read up on Jack Williams and the induced coma. Holy shit, hope the fella's okay and without long term implications. That's some heavy stuff.
