Mind you Su’a and Jed are injured currently so maybe that’s why Arrow is training on the edge.

The season doesn't go for 3 rounds, it goes for 25
You are ignoring Twal playing 53, 47 and 62 minutes with Liddle on the bench in rounds 16,17,18 and 51 minutes with no bench hooker in round 20
There might still be value in Twal but expecting him to play 80 minutes every week because he has done it 3 times in the past 2 years is very optimistic

Benji was saying he will come on as 2nd hooker. Not sure what that means. I expect if they are up by a lot he gets rested at the end of the game.Rabbits21 wrote:
I don’t know what Wayne is up too.
Apparently in yesterday’s training session Cook’s passing with a bit off and Benji played some hooker and his passes were all on the money.
Apparently as well Benji is getting some time at hooker tomorrow.
Could we see Wayne at times pull Cookie off at the 65mins mark?

Cook played 80 minutes every week last season, except for the last round when they were beating the Roosters by 50 and he got an early mark.
In 2019 he got an early rest in 1 round around origin time
I don't see why that is going to change.

I'd say so, he's been training there and was there in the opposed session with the Blackhawks also.

Hamiso is an extra $100k
He'll have to show a lot to be the better fantasy prospect

Look I agree, if I pick Twal, and he's high on my list, I'm not expecting 80 every week. I would be hoping for 60+, 80 sometimes, and very few sub 60s, which is plausible at this stage.

I reckon Niu averages 22 and is dropped within the first 6 weeks.

No one has said he gets 80 every week, his scoring would be through the roof in that case. Provides great value at 60-80 minutes each week (59 average last season).Milchcow wrote:

Due to low fantasy scoring? (fair enough I say!)

that's how coach's pick sides aint it?
nah i think he'll struggle. I had high hopes for him, but reality is sinking in (about our team in general), we're going to struggle. That edge of milford niu and coates is going to get terrorised and they'll need to put someone else there (no idea who, that's probably in Niu's favour) to try and stop the flow of points. I'm already having nightmares about dylan brown coming down that edge and Sivo scoring 6 tries in round 1.

I don't mind Twal as a fantasy prospect purely because of bench rotations, but feel like I can get better points per dollar from Watson, Lodge, Koloa, LAM as middles if all play the role we expect. Still a chance I end up with Twal after TLT, but for now I would rather gun up at hooker and half

My hope for Twal is 2020 Carrigan minutes (67 average) and scoring (60 average), would be easily enough.

Could happen tbf. Also could just play 50-60 and be priced fairly. I'm very on the fence, could go either way on TLT. Probably depends on how everyone else fits for me i.e. he'll be on of the last decisions, not one of the first.

Just had a look and his QLD Cup average of 29.7 isn't exactly inspiring, although would just about do the job priced at 20. Puts me off any thought of playing him in the 17. though.

If you go Twal, you are counting on him being a cut priced season keeper, priced against the full priced keepers that are $100k+ more to start the season. You are saving cash if that works out, by having him instead. You can go value at HLF as well with guys like Lam and Fogarty, targeting them scoring as much as a guy like Moses for $100k-300k less. Hooker is another position where there is tonnes of value, no reason to go to a full priced gun to start the season (other than Cleary as Captain).multiple.scoregasms wrote:I don't mind Twal as a fantasy prospect purely because of bench rotations, but feel like I can get better points per dollar from Watson, Lodge, Koloa, LAM as middles if all play the role we expect.
