There are news articles saying the thing that stands out about him isn't any of the things you mentioned above, but his fitness and motor really sets him apart.

Missing very few tackles will be a huge asset in a fast game and Twal is the best in the game. Went over 200 tackles without a miss while playing big minutes last season, I would be amazed if anyone else got over 100 tackles without a miss.

Yeah i agree he is a machine but I was meaning more about the speed around the ruck. Maybe Liddle and Simpkin spend time on the field together pushing Twal into the prop rotation, rather than Tigers having 3 big men in the middle all game

Its the way I've been edging lately, but I hate loading the WFB and having guys with Simmonsson getting lucky with 30s Laughing

I have Hopo there currently but would rather him in the CTR

I've really been warming to Bird and I like the cheapness and positional points Averillo can provide so I will likely move Hopo for a cheapie

I'm thinking Egan's minutes are likely determined by Harris's minutes in the middle. If Harris plays close to 80 minutes again this season, while starting at lock, Tevaga is still sure to get decent minutes as well, so may be stealing some off Egan.

Agree fully I never owned Lomax shocking decision I own it.

You were wrong re Pap Matt not patient enough with him.... I was patient as I had a strong feeling in my gut I would reap the rewards and I did. I saw enough in the first 6 rounds last year to know he was about to smash it and he did.

Yeah unsure where Tevaga fits in. I actually thought Tohu would start on an edge with Tevaga at lock and when Tohu moves into the middle someone like BMM comes on to his edge

Me three but I made the genius call of selling him a week later and it got me Stephen Crichton for 313k which paid off big time, since I was able to run him and Lomax as my centres all year.

Haven't posted team, maybe once. Currently going into TLT like this, although I have the cash to turn Fog into Cleary

    Cook
    Lodge, Watson, Kolo
    Riki, Fifita
    Munster, Fogarty
    Bird, Averillo
    Tedesco, Papy, Hoy

    Liddle
    Brailey
    Lam
    Croker

    LAM
    246
    246
    246

    $392k remaining.
Just think I can eek out extra points from Fog whilst Cleary loses some (gut feel)

Crichton was my "lucky" bench pick from the very start last season, similar to the Simpkin pick this season.

Nice work! I was wary to start with him because I had owned him at the back end of 2019 purely as a cashout and I didn't think he'd break into the starting team.

Glad I got him when I did though

Lets compare Simpkin with a guy like Niu that the consensus here is that he may provide some cover, isnt guaranteed a spot and has low upside potential, but is in almost everyone's team.

Simpkin is covering a guy with a worse injury history than Turbo, is clearly the far better player and the future of the club, is up against a guy that has never played 80 minutes even when starting, and has shown he can cover playing in the middle off the bench. A 40 minute 40 point game isn't at all out of the realms of possibility in the first few weeks. Add in the fact that he has the potential to be a gun and be $400k+ underpriced should get far more priority than the meh guy.

These are the known factors coming into the season and what can drive decision making now.

I may get "lucky" and he gets those opportunities, but I created the opportunity for a low risk, high reward scenario.
I’ve got both at present, and Niu looks to be the worst of the two. Simkin looks a no brainer!

Not dissimilar to my team, though I have Cleary and Milford instead of Fogarty and Munster and can't find any decent 246s at the moment pre TLT so have a bit more money on my NPRs, including Liddle and Croker who I don't trust in my 17 yet.

Also weighing up Offa over Lodge, figure he's on the bench behind Carrigan, Haas, TPJ after round 3, and I'm on the Tupounuia train as my main POD.

What is the thoughts on Hoy Welshy, hope he earns enough to swap for Trbojevic comfortably?

What are you expecting from Sitili mate? already priced at 36 and has a 41 average as a starting 2RF, too much of a middie?

I'm always weighing Offa over Lodge based on long term role longevity. Not sure I can trust Milf after fucking my season last year lol

That would be the exact plan mate, every year I have bypassed guys like Hoy who only seem to have the role for a few weeks over longer term investments and and potential money making then they go on to bust a big one and rake in the cash in just a few weeks

Plus Hoy has shown he can go big albeit in only 2 games at fullback (63, 40)

I went into my local gym sometime in 2019 and ended up training with some guy by the name of Jake Simpkin who was telling me that he had been signed by the tigers. Looks solid, the calves on him would challenge Taniela Toupou. I think I made a post not long after that encounter when I had done some research
