LAM is one, he didn't get too many mins in the trial, but he should get at least between 40-50 mins.
Waddell, got bulk mins on the Edge, but didn't stand out.
I think with both these players I just have to trust historical data.

I've had Tino in and out, Brooks in and out. Mostly unsure of these cheaps mids, LAM/Lodge/Koala.

Same here.
Brooks looking pretty solid for a spot in my 17 if he's goalkicker
Getting a bit nervous about Lachlan Lam. Little bit concerned about the small sample size for his games in the halves and whether he'll regress a little bit with a longer term role. Also concerned about how long he ets before sam Walker is given a shot.
Will probably start with him but looking at other things.

Do you think it makes a big enough difference to the squad balance to be worth it?
I'm looking at Brooks instead of Cleary, allowing me to get Macca instead of Koala, and not having to play Averillo in my 17.
Not sure if there's enough of a gain there though.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 7 - Trial edition
Think I'm fairly happy with this for now.
Cook
SST LAM Watson
DiFi Riki
Cleary Lam
Roberts Averillo
Teddy Isaako Moylan
Crichton Brailey Koala Liddle
Niu 246 246 228
If there's no one decent at 228 I'll probably turn SST into Tino and spread the cash through the NPRs.
I think I'm fairly happy with everyone except SST, Isaako and Moylan.
Need to force myself to stop tinkering as it's the same few changes over & over (SST to Lodge & Isaako to Pap, Cook to McCullough & SST to Tohu, SST to Tino & Lam to Brooks etc).

Pretty much my consideration. I like what I saw from Brooks, especially if he's gk, but damn Manly were horrific. Brooks over Cleary opens the door to a very stacked backline of Tedesco, RTS and Paps if I want to roll the dice..

Not owning Cleary scares me more than what splashing some cash might mean for team balance.
I do think his average is going to drop a few points. The Panthers probably aren't going to go as well as last year so there might be a slight drop in attacking stats for games they lose.
I still think he'll average well into the 60's and I got to be in on that.

I think if the game didn't have captains, you could justify it easily. But it's hard to give up 150pts for say 125pts, and be confident the extra 100-200k can be spent to make up the pts shortfall.
I did think about running DCE and saving 100k, but lack of useful trial form for Manly brings that to an end

Well Milchy found a bunch of phantom points for Cleary in the trial stats, if that's a sign of things to come, you'll miss out on not owning him.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 7 - Trial edition
Cleary loves taking advantage of tired opposition back through the ruck/etc and if the game is 'even faster' again then there should be more of that on offer. I cannot say no given his ownership. I mean, plus everything else he does to score points. The prick is everywhere.
