If you are picking Doueihi based on the trial last weekend, note that he won't get to play against the Manly reserve grade side most weeks. Attacking points may be a little harder to come by in the NRL

Not so sure. They already have 3 fullbacks, with 2 playing out of position to get them in the team.

I'd be picking Doueihi on being a better player than Brooks and having a style of play that is suited to fantasy in the halves.

I can see the possibility of Pappy not being there... but ultimately think he will be in jersey #14 as there was so much backlash after game 3 for not having him there

    Assuming everyone is fit and based off Freddy's previous decisions;

    1. Teddy
    2. Fox
    3. Turbo
    4. Wighton
    5. Tupou

Centres in contention this year: Kotoni Staggs, Bradman Best, Stephen Crichton, Zac Lomax to a further extent James Roberts, Latrell Mitchell, Curtis Scott, Nick Cotric, Campbell Graham.

Wingers in contention this year: Nick Cotric, Blake Ferguson, Alex Johnston, Josh Mansour

    Fullbacks: Ryan Papenhuyzen, Clint Gutherson

Pappy will most likely be 14 as he can cover any position in the back line and even play middle if needed.

That's kinda saying that having a 2nd hooker to play 20-30 mins is more important than having your best possible halfback option. I'd hope the Broncos aren't that cooked. But you never know.

If they don't think Paix is up to it, they don't really have any other options, unless they just run with Turpin for 80 from round 1.

If dearden is the best option at half he will be playing half.

He trained at half still, just for the reserves.

If he ends up being on the bench it is because theyve decided croft is the best choice at half

I really don't get how you can axe a key member of your spine after one semi-serious trial match when you've been setup and planning to go that way since November/December. It's just terrible coaching/management IMO

Pretty sure the Broncos put on their reserve team in the second half of the trail. You can't expect miracles with that, considering how bad their regular team is. Probably going to play out like last year. Loose your best player and play mediocre rubbish in the halves (Milford/Croft). Can't wait until we can say goodbye to Milford next year and his draining million dollar a year contract.

He has to maintain 70s to stay at his price. I think he drops a little, just due to the fact that the Panthers were such a good side this year that I think there is little room for improvement. At worst, he stays about the same which means I can work my way up. Would rather have Munster to start, who could realistically gain $100-150k over the first half of the season

I don't think it as easy as everyone thinks moving a half into dummy half. Sure they can handle the attacking element, but the defensive side of things could go pear shaped quickly with a half defending in the middle set after set. Especially in this new fast paced style we are now used to. It just shows what a miserable state the Broncos are in with their squad, that they are thinking of moving, who many believe as the future of the club in the halves (Dearden), into a utility role for the sake of plugging holes. This should bode well for the other clubs (i think the Storm, Dogs and Cows) circling for his signature at the end of this year.

There were soooo many injuries last year. I think one of the rounds where we got extra trades, I still couldn't field 17. The 1 or 2 cover helps ypu cover any 1-2 game suspensions / injuries which aren't enough to warrant a trade, but net you a 0 if you don't

I agree, however him being the clear captaincy option makes all the difference imo. If you don't start with him and he has some good early scores with high captaincy then you are likely falling behind. Whereas if it was like the start of last season with Haas the clear captain option then I'd be more for starting without Cleary.
