It was interesting to see Moses and DBrown playing on opposite sides to last season. DBrown was also doing more of the kicking, maybe to take the strain of Moses after he had niggles last year.
There is potential for Brown to move into the gun keeper status if his kms are up. His scores in Moses' absence last season were massive.

Yeah Latrell looked enticing, if only he could be more consistent. He has all the potential, but some games he just seems to go missing.

I know this. It'll be a very stressful and irritating experience and yet... which other WFB has his upside?

    2021 could be Latrell's season.

I expect him to do better than 2020, but I'm hesitant to jump on the Latrell-express

He will always have that range of 20 to 100 scores, if you go with him then youre backing souths + latrell to start the season hot and pick up plenty of try assists/tries. You can flip latrell mid season.

Souths do look primed for a fast start to the season (yes dragons were bad tho)

In the Eels trial did anyone think that Matterson was a bit crap & he was playing on the left instead of his usual position on the right.

If I've learned anything from the Latrell performance its that he's a great team player and can free up others to score well.

Cody Walker and the outside backs of the Rabbits will perform really well if Latrell continues to get involved and create opportunities.

They play the Dragons twice in the last six games. Maybe he's an end of season buy...

On Latrell when I was watching the early rounds last season when he was carving up I remember saying to myself I have to pick him in 2021. He is just so big with long arms so when the opposition defense doesn't move up & shut him down he causes mayhem.

Yes but they do play the broncos in round 5 haha

Remembe that game 4 or 5 years ago that inglis absolutely tore us a new one. Book latrell in for a similar night

Honestly, watching the game WHICH I KNOW WAS A TRIAL, made me a bit worried for Cook's scoring because Souths were zipping it from side to side every play and doing very little in the middle. Against better teams or in heavier conditions it might be different but even so.

Yeah after last nights trial I won't be going near Moses. Him switching sides affects his main scoring ability which comes from his massive kick meters.

Yeah this was very noticeable. I've had Cook in my 2 drafts that I've made so far but the idea of running without him frees up a fk load of cash if I was to start with a guy like Brailey as my main hooker. I just don't really see good value in any of the other hookers, not keen on Macca idk why. Robson has plenty of upside if he gets big minutes but we can't guarantee that.

Cook has been very consistent over several years, and I don't really have any concerns about his scoring

But of the big 3 origin players many have (Cook, Cleary, Teddy) Cook is the one I'm most likely to run without

I don't like the idea of running with a cheaper hooker in the 13 because if he goes down or misfires then there's a limited pool of players to trade to. If your 400k prop or your bench hooker stink it up there are plenty of ways of replacing him.

However I'm not uninterested in Api. Not value, as such, but a non-Origin keeper.

Agree and that has always been my rule too. Turpin also pretty injury prone. Hard decision to make.

Just something I wanted to bring up from last night.

The concept of "owners" and "non-owners" right now is meaningless. We have unlimited trades between now and kick off and can put anyone in our team if they have a good trial, their coach talks them up, or the house they are training in falls down. Every players is Schroedinger's player in that we are a potential owner and a non-owner up until that player locks out in 2 week's time.
