Looking at Martin's mins last season, he played 80 mins 12/18 regular season games, so I don't see why Capewell can't achieve that, possibly even more games with 80 mins. I think he's a better attacking player than Martin too. The main issue is his missed tackles.

    Crichton, Brailey, Averillo, Liddle

    Welcome

Some prefer to have a few 100k spare for trade options after round 1 in case of injuries or dud cows. It looks like you have a bit of cover if anyone goes down injured so that's not an issue.
What's your plans with Hoy after round 4? you may need a little cash for an upgrade there.
If BMM is not named in the 13 it's not a bad idea to go for someone like Lodge for the xtra cash.

Everyone has a different opinion on whether to keep some cash in the bank or not, so you won't get a general consensus. My opinion is to get the players you really want in, and if there is cash left over, great, if not, wouldn't worry too much. Team looks pretty solid pending TLT. You made to swap BMM to Lodge anyway depending on team lists.

The concern for Capewell is that Martin is still in the team.

Last year, post-injury Capewell only ever got to start when Kikau was injured. The only time he started ahead of Martin is in round 5 when Capewell got injured 2 minutes in.

Perhaps Capewell has overtaken Martin in the rankings again and will start ahead of him every week. Its a slight risk you take assuming he'll always get to start.
The other risk is that prior to 2020 Capewell was inconsistent at best, you would be a brave soul to suggest he's going to be hitting 50+ every week just because he did it a few times last year.

The big missed tackle games were with Sharks 2 seasons ago. 80 min games last season he nearly matched missed tackles with number of tackle breaks with range of 33-49 tackles in 3 sample game plus averages near 100m

Hey bro, I like your accountant!

Only thing I would look at is BMM and LAM. I'm not confident in the minutes with such a strong pack. If you're getting BMM, you're hoping he can score 40-50 consistently to net you some gains. I'm not confident outside of the starting hooker, and AFB, of any of the Warriors forwards consistently scoring over 40

I read somewhere Martin will be coming off the bench to play in the middle rotation this season, don't remember where I read it though.

I think it was more that Martin is a really good footballer so they want him on the field somewhere as there aren't 3 edge spots available.. but that is the slight risk with Capewell, he's not locked into that spot because Martin is a very good option there and the coach could change things up in a few weeks time.

I think Katoa would slot onto the left edge and right side will be Curran/BMM/etc . Harris all but destined to start lock now.

Curran does have that John Palavi feel about him. Whoever does start right edge could be an early scapegoat if the Warriors start the season slowly

What are people's thoughts on Tofu? I currently have him but with the Warriors depth in the forwards this season, does he get less mins?

    nrl.com late mail

Corey Oates raised eyebrows on Monday training at left centre as coach Kevin Walters continues to play ducks and drakes ahead of Friday's season opener against the Eels.

Brodie Croft and Tom Dearden each trained as halfback alongside Anthony Milford, with Croft believed to be the front-runner for the No.7 jersey. The club remains optimistic that Herbie Farnworth will be fit to line up at centre having recently undergone surgery on a chest infection.

The Roosters have received a boost with Luke Keary training on Monday after sitting out their trial clash with a hamstring issue. Victor Radley and Sam Verrills (ACL) will be kept on ice for at least another week.

Souths have been dealt a blow with forward Liam Knight to sit out the season opener after suffering a concussion during a training scrimmage leading into the Charity Shield recently. His symptoms have subsided and he has returned to training, but will not be available until next week's clash with Manly at the earliest.

I like the pick. Dufty is often the scape goat of Dragons poor performances.

For a lot less, you can have Laurie and for a little more Isaako, who are more set in their positions. Also, Niu has DPP status and a similar scoring capacity for much less.

Unless you are going for four cheapies {crazy not to jump on Papenhuyzen}, there are better options

Not much first grade to go on, but he's priced at 26, whch seems to be about what he scores without a try.

I don't know how good his job security is. Pereira could easily nab a spot

My WFB are likely to be Teddy + Pappy + Laurie/Hoy

Don't want to downgrade teddy/Pappy, and don't think its worth upgrading Laurie/Hoy

If Laurie doesn't make theteam, I'll consider other options, but not sure Ramsey is screaming out to be picked.
