That Jackson mediocre score was still 9 points above his starting price. From that list he has the most sustainable scoring I think

Friz is a great option but I don't think anyone can afford his price at the moment unless they're trading out Api or Matterson. Barnett too... cheaper, DPP and should keep goalkicking if he keeps popping them over. It's not like Ponga is ARey with the tee.

If Papalli has Matterson's role with plenty of work in the middle, and then reverts to big minute bench role from first two rounds then I think high scores are sustainable with more attacking upside than Jackson. Jackson is safer though with Tolmanesque ploddability.

The Matterson Files - Hopefully the last chapter... for tonight?

If I hold him this week to see if more info comes to light next week, I can loop Milford (or Averillo) / Stefano / Moylan. What a horrible sight to my eyeballs, but I can do that and I don't hate the idea in case Milford does actually go okay this week.

If I do trade Matterson I’m racking my brain as to how to go about it;

So, fyi, first trade already locked in in Davey > Schuster.

Option A - Hold Matterson for one more week at least and do one trade Davey > Schuster.

Option B - trade out Matterson for Alvaro and build up the bank. Will give me $450K bank and two moneymakers while I ponder appealing keepers in coming weeks.

Option C - go with the likes of a Josh Jackson (jeez his name blew up through the day) which is going to cost an extra $234K. Still leaves me with over $200K in the bank but arguably a more reliable scorer. Though I am worried about the possibility he reverts back to a 40-ish type of scorer, not miles away from Alvaro.

Option D - clear out the bank and trade in anyone except Cleary, Teddy or Cook. I think I can afford everyone else. Problem with this option is I’m not madly drawn to anyone in particular and I find myself thinking I’d prefer to wait for Teddy, Cleary, Haas, Ponga, Grant etc. My favourite three at the moment might be Friz, Barnett and Moses? But not really completely drawn by any to be honest.

Interested in other humans' thoughts.

I was thinking I like Papali'is dynamism (just checked and yes, yes it is actually a word) a bit more, but looking back over his previous scores at 80mins in the second row, it's not amazing. Certainly nothing bad, but if you take a punt I guess you are trusting that, as per what he's shown in the first two rounds, he is a mightier unit in 2021 than he was in the past?

Pretty standard Tino and Davey to Schuster and Jackson for me. Leaves 386 bank

For my second trade looking at either:

a) Tino to Jackson
b) Tino to Koala/Alvaro/LAM and build some bank & cash gen
d) Milf to SOS for same reason
c) Milf to Egan/Waddell
e) hold, give Milf & Tino another look (worst case Tino to Radley might be on next week)

Regarding Jackson and his potential gametime once RFM and thompson come back... I realise Barrett had Jurbo but he does seem to love a good Big Minute Lock... I like his chances to keep that role 70+ minutes for the remainder of the season...

I think I'd go with E and hold both.

If I had to go with one of the top 4, I'd go with B - Tino to Alvaro or Koala.

Mate, he's like a different human this year. Seems to have gone to another level.
