At 480k trading down to Walker provides 230k and I’ll still have 2 fit CTRS and CTR/WFB cover.
I mean he’s still a CTR and will surely have the odd stinker of a game. Just wonder if the cash injection is worth running Roberts/Reimis/Niu and spending elsewhere.

Just something I thought I’d throw out there.

I won't consider cashing out a centre until they hit 550k. Did it with Crichton last year in the back end and never ended up regretting it

Yeah I remember that from last year. It’s what gave me the idea.
Ideally Momo hits that price and Suaalii turns up to make the most of it.

I’d be happy to hold trades if Walker didn’t look serviceable.

MIDS - couple of concerns coming up with BSmith and Kamikamica both a chance to lose minutes and need trading. I'd be holding bank and working towards a plan in this space.

WFB - I don't normally like to start the season with 3 keepers, but since you have I'd be holding. Brimson has already lost 150k and is still the guy you picked preseason capable of 45s. Just needs to latch onto a few offloads around the middle and he is golden

Bench has Liddle and Walker outside the 17 so you can probably do something there to generate cash in the next few weeks

Something like cash out Liddle and Schuster/Townsend then spend it upgrading mid would be my medium term plan

The timing of say Liddle in a couple of weeks could be perfect for Smith or Kami right.

What do u mean re Walker, look to jump to another cow down the line ?

Personally I'd hold Brimson as a FB over a couple of wingers.  Admittedly both have started the season on fire.

Lots of depth outside your 17 (most teams are playing Walker, Liddle etc) which you might want to use to upgrade your top 17 in the next few weeks...

    edit: what MS said

Ok, this bit of feedback from u and MS can help ease the Brimson trade thoughts.

    @revraiser

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, have you thought of trading Brimson to Tino and playing Laurie in your 13? You do lose your WFB cover but it strengthens your MID position in the short term

Think he's a good POD to have started with and could approach Bateman scores, but Fifita/Crichton/Harris ahead of him at 2rf and Tups probably equal for less money. In a perfect world, Riki to Young after Rnd13 will be a very good trade even if it costs dollars.

Thanks for the feedback @rhinoceroo I think I'll save a trade and wait for a Rd13 gun. santa

    Cook
    Crichton, Fui, Watson
    Fifita, Riki
    Cleary, Townsend
    Roberts, Bird
    Tedesco, Laurie, Pappy

    J. Brailey, Liddle, Schuster, Walker
    Uto, Niu, Leniu, Simonsson

I have enough cash to trade Simonsson for SOS, seems like a better option for $$ generation?
    Anyone else a better target?

Created a Round 17 Bye player list. Of course we're 3 months away so subject to change, but something to keep an eye on:

I've played Laurie a couple times this year, the 14 to 17 moves around because all those guys are hard to pick.

Yeah Tino is still only 561k now, but I personally don't feel gud about Tino, for the 1st 3 weeks everyone wants to jump off and now he puts up a score it's all aboard again. It looks so volatile. His minutes, his output. Gun player but will it always convert to fantasy. It could  be a missed opportunity, but I think im going to let Tino sail. U have him already hey ?

Rev, I'd just hold strong with Brimson and generate some cash to work on your MID's.

I was a Tino trader after round 2. I'm not mad, but if he puts another big score up, might be worth reconsidering.

Probably worded that poorly. Currently you have 6 players capable of filling 4 spots on the bench. I'd aim to get Walker into the 17 in the next few weeks once your other cows peak

I started with him and rode the slow start. His move to prop seems to have magically sorted a lot of things, MT have dropped, RM have increased.

Just wanted to throw up an alternative of going WFB to WFB. Camo mentioned it in my team tracker and thought it might get ya thinking. I’m gonna hold Brimson until origin and see what happens there

GreenMachine wrote:We are all just living in MS’ world, but here is the alternate reality...

    Pre Season

Get excited, build 613 drafts, shifting players in based on trial highlights.
Lock in the fastest guy at Nines.
Have grand plans around stashing in 18-21 your favourite talent for this season regardless of team lists, instead buying him in round 4, when 80k more expensive.
Use bye planner and ensure you have all the best brits and Kiwis and have a core of R13 players.
Tinker with about 40 different middies that are at least 10pts under priced but then write posts to ask others how many >750k mega guns they have, adjusting your team until you win.
Review first team lists set and drop more than half your squad and ensure you have people like Simonsson and Averillo.
Get rid of your favourite stash player.
Drop the fast guy from nines before he is named in round 2 or 3.
Throw out the window any bye plans, getting all the FOMO origin stars, as you can deal with all that later.
Panic buy and captain someone in the first match of the season because you’ve had 4 tins.

    Pre-Origin

Max trade for 8-10 weeks convincing self that fixing your team early is key.
Drop any and all players you actually didn’t like much, irrationally at the first sub 60 score.
Drop that guy you got in for the first match
    Cycle through 11 different centres
Get that guy you dropped back after he scores 75, because others were right, and what’s one trade.
Freak out closer to origin that you’ve used too many trades
    Drop your origin season keepers
Enter R13 with the bare 13, one of them under an injury cloud

    Post Origin

Get back your origin keepers ASAP, having 3 less of them than you started with.
Run out of trades missing 4-5 must haves and being left with Havili in your best 17.
Fade the last 5 weeks to injuries and suspensions
Start building your FPL squad and focus on your NFL dynasty team
Stop reading the forum because people still have trades left and are discussing BEs
Field 14 players in the final 2 weeks

Disclaimer: While fun early, following this advice causes much late distress, but you already know this, because over 80% of the above is how you already play

This is/was me. When I first got into this game, I absolutely had to have or considered anyone who “trained down the house”.
