Mate, Wolfy gave you advice after you begged for it. You asked clarifying questions about it, he reassured you. You then proceeded to ignore his advice and keep rambling about how your struggling to decide and you're panicked etc.

I know you're going through a tough time, but when you ask for help and don't accept it, don't be surprised when people stop offering. It's just not worth their time.

    FWIW I agree with Wolfy/Welshy: Turpin+Papy > Moses+To'o

@ Rabbits21 - don't get distracted by the multitude of trade options you have but rather identify the weak spot in your team, take the sensible option & buy the player your gut tells you to buy. For example I want Haas but I need to fix my depth in ctr & wfb so I don't have to play Roberts & if Tedesco is ruled out so that's where my 2 trades will be spent. I definitely have fomo re Haas though.

Completely agree.. I love scrolling through this forum and jumping in, but seeing you hound for advise only to make changes and then repeat over and over get's a bit boring. Nobody here owes anybody anything and we're all likely making the same decisions anyhow.

    Just relax man

Its been a big couple of trading weeks with cows quickly coming to an end of their cash generation. At the moment I think its important to set your team up with the aim of not trading for 3-4 weeks leading into round 13. We get 4 trades in round 13. Thats 4 players that you know are not playing origin that you can trade in. Last thing you want after using those 4 trades is to be down to about 10 trades left, because you've got round 17 to setup for which will involve a bit of mass trading.

Im still aiming for 12-13 players for each bye round and having enough trades left for the run home.

Surely not the former. Anyone that owned Papy because they thought he was a R13 player are trippers. We own him because he was an under-priced mega-Gun. Have never counted him once on my (lack of) R13 numbers

Don’t know where source came from as was catching up on thread yesterday but nrl casualty ward now says R10-R11 return

    Would mean missing next 2-3 + R13

It kinda fits with range of 2-4 weeks of grade 2 AC joint injury and when CS9 had similar injury last year I think it was bit longer

More that Bellamy now said he's at least 2 or 3 weeks away with the injury. To me it has the Munster from a few years ago feeling all over again. Round 13 hasn't a lot to do with it but weighs into the equation of number of games missed in a short period of time.

For me personally, the only one I'd cut him loose for is Haas.

CS9 was, like, 45 last year. In truth we (or NRL casualty ward) have no idea what's going on in the Storm physio room, with Bellamy an unreliable source. If it's a 2-4 week injury he could be back next week at the lower end, round 11 at the upper. All I know is that if I sell him I won't be able to get him back until Round 18 (and maybe not even then) so it's not just a matter of what your Papless team looks like for the next few weeks, it's the next few months.

I can put out the same 17 that scored 970 last week without trading. That has Papy, Tino, Momo, SOS sitting in EMG.
Fighting the temptation to trade for the sake of trading it feels, but yes Papy to Haas does give immediate improvement

Or I can do Turpin to Moses and still do Leniu to CHN? Means playing Jet in my 17 though... surely he’s due a 25-30 score though right!?......

Do we think CHN is worth the punt? My team value isn’t as high as others so I need to generate more cash!

Rabbits21 wrote:Changed my mind again lol.

Now looking at Turpin to CHN and Leniu to Peachey....

    Leaves me with:

    Brailey
    Watson Haas Alvaro
    Fifita CHN
    Cleary Schuster
    Bird Peachey
    Teddy Hampton Laurie

McCullough A. Crichton S. Walker Simpkin
    Uto Simonsson Roberts Pap

    Thoughts?

Would have 22 trades and 203k spare

If CHN is benched one hour before kick off tomorrow I’ll lose my shit!

Rabbits21 wrote:Is there a chance TPJ plays origin if he goes well next few weeks? Or it just won’t happen?

He could keep going nuts on a rampage so I’m tempted to look at him if he won’t play origin.

I mean MTB has him so I guess it could be worth the punt!

Could do Turpin to TPJ and Uto to S. Crichton he’s handy and DPP at 444k. Handy to have as well especially if Dearden goes to Cows early and Hampcoin fails then at least I have S. Critta! Should be good for mid to high 30’s that’s enough for centre.

Good to see you taking advice on board and being completely calm and rational about this whole situation.  Good luck this week mate.  Seems like you've locked your choices in, I like what you have come up with.

Bellamy suggested he'll miss at least 2 more weeks.

That plus origin upcoming means he will be off the field a bunch in the next month or 2

On paper Laurie + Alvaro post R13 to Pap + cash out seems doable

Helps there’s a few 4 trade rounds in and around that time

Of course this is taunting the fantasy gods by noting the plan so imagine I never wrote this

This is how I feel on Haas. Only Haas will play more games than Pappy from now.

I personally think there's more chance of this than some of the other possibles that have been brought up.
He has the power game that suits Origin and is useful as Edge cover (for Crichton & Frizzel) as well as being obviously strong in the Middle.

He's made himself available for NSW this year (previously took himself out of contention), and I suspect he'll get a shot at some point in the series.
    Whether that's SOO1 I don't know.

There’s 2 70s and a 124 in that average and rocketed his price, I’m fairly confident he will drop some cash before R18, a 60 average makes him lose around $100,000 not sure that’s too unreasonable although there’s been another case this year where I’ve been waiting for an Uber gun to lose money without much luck also....

My stance is fast becoming everyone is available for origin so use those 4 trades when they are available and you 100% know who will be playing Round 13

Is bringing in Moses over Fogarty worth losing Papy? Didn't do fantasy last year so don't know much about Fog's prospects. Also worried about how I get back Papy like everyone else.

    Other trade in is Haas.

It's a more volatile position, so the chances of a lower score to bring the average down are much higher.
