Possible that only one of Lafai & Aitken are going to get a spot and they're being tried out similarly to what you've said above?

Yeah it would be a shame to see Aitken back in ressies after his performance last year however surely Lafai has the spot sewn up. Then again some good old fashioned competition for a spot can only be a good thing, keeps the players honest and makes them give 100% every week knowing they have a ready made replacement snapping at their heels wanting a go.

What if you stash someone who takes 4 weeks to debut and then averages 18.

Pretty much everyone at some point will have a cheap NPR that makes no cash and ends up stuck in the 25 doing nothing. It's hard to get 100% accuracy predicting which rookies will go big and which will do nothing.

I remember rugby league weekly had JDB starting & Cooper on the bench for it's predicted round 1 team for the Dragons. If Cooper does come off the bench it'll probably be after 20 minutes & play the rest of the game like KFP said. The signs look good for my man JDB though & maybe he's going to play 70-80 minutes this year.

Luke or Lichaa. If the Warriors start off on fire when historically they don't & the fact he's a possibility to play 80 minutes Luke could be worthwhile. Plus they have the Tigers first up which the Warriors could dominate & if they do then Luke will be in his zone. Lichaa is a more conservative & less risky pick as he'll play 80 & his base stats are such that his tackles alone should see him hit at least 45-50 points. Plus someone mentioned previously that Lichaa is going to be given more licence to attack & guide the team around. Atm I'm leaning towards Luke.

I'm not really a stats man Random like yourself. Milchy & others around here but all I can say is I like him as a pick especially as he's a cheap option, is a dpp which is a an added advantage for the team dynamic & that there's a great chance he'll start at lock & play 55-60 minutes & should score 40-45 points. The thing I like about Sue his his attitude & the fact that he likes to lead from the front. He'll give 100% effort & never give up. I can really knock him so I reckon he's a good option.

    Depends where he is picked.

As a starting lock/2nd rower he averaged 43 last year. He is priced at an average of 36.

If he plays prop you want him to get over 40 minutes in order to be value - something that may not happen with Grant in the team.

I believe he'll start at lock over Halatau and Edwards. At least in the short term while Edwards is recovering from injury. If he does then he is to be seriously considered if he is benched then stay away.

Loving your solid reasoning and advice on all Fantasy players Milchcow. Top stuff. I don't think there is a thumbs up emoticon so will just continue to like your posts Smile

So I've moved on from moved on from McQueen & now I'm focusing on Turner. At 258k he's cheap, will probably play 80 but has the injury history. Is Turner a better pick than Sue?

That Charity Shield line-up is why i am steering clear of all Dragon forwards. Id be thinking with 8 interchanges Frizell/Thompson will play 80, then we might see Packer off at 20 Cooper on, AhMau off at 30 Creagh on, JDB of at 55 AhMau on, Cooper off at 60 Packer on, Creagh off at 65 Lui/JDB on. Leaves 2 for hooker and 1 for injury.

    JDB 55min-70min
    AhMau 55min
    Cooper 40min
    Creagh 35min

I think a lot of teams will have a similar breakdown with a bit of varying times on interchange, Think we may see a lot of 0min 17th man this year.

I think Turner has potential, but his injury history is a concern. I'd probably still go for Sue if you can spare the money. Have you considered Paasi for similar to Turner's money?

Anyone with that man concussions shouldnt be playing the game. Id steer clear there will be a concussion at some stage costing you that week and they will have to stand him down for the following week at least. 1 knock and id want him to stand down the whole year for his safety.

Surely Frizell won't be playing 80 until rd 5-6 at the earliest?
