Im doubtful Henry will get a run in the first 5 weeks (baring injury to someone) and right now is just a placeholder until i see a better rookie in pre-season who may get a run in the first 3 rounds

With a lack of geniue rd1 starter cash cows i think this year it may be wise to stash a couple of players. Last year those that to the risk of starting with any of Bird/Aitken/Coote got their first game points+rise as well as saving a trade.

True that I remember last year I was thinking of stashing Bird and Coote but I took the advice of the folks from NRL.com to not have any NPR's to start the year. Because I didn't back myself and listened to them I was later playing catch-up getting rid of Edrick Lee for Bird and Nabuli to Coote within the month. I got both of them before they started to explode in price but still I wasted 2 trades for like the 20k that Nabuli and Lee made together.

I wish I had stashed Coote but that doesn't make it a great strategy. What if they don't get a run? Your using valuable roster spots on a hunch.Johnny B Goode wrote:True that I remember last year I was thinking of stashing Bird and Coote but I took the advice of the folks from NRL.com to not have any NPR's to start the year. Guys guys guys. We are still 3 weeks away from TLT. Chill out. Have a whisky. Breathe. Your teams will change alot between now and opening night.

Johnny B Goode wrote:I also feel like Henry might be a dud cow because he's not going to get many minutes in the back-row the Warriors have but really who else can we pick? Pick a guy like Angus Crichton and just wait hoping he makes his debut sometime in the year. At least Henry might make like 20 or 30k to put in the bank

As mentioned earlier the cash cows are pretty scarce atm so it will be the year of the mid ranger who will add value. I have plenty of them in my team so I can get a good scoring 17. I have 3-4 guns & the rest are value picks at any price.

I think people want to flesh out some ideas mate, see what combos work instead of trying to cram it in to a potentially busy week.

Yeah, everyone knows that. But it's better than sitting around watching tumbleweeds.

Is this meant to be their best lineup? Where's Dugan? Edit - Trial team I realise. Just looked like a pretty strong lineup for a trial. Edit2: Charity Shield - i guess it makes more sense that it's close to their best lineup then.

they havent mentioned why dugans not there. but widdop/thompson/frizell are unavailable who would normally be in their top 17. i guess they are starting matthews and marketo to trial both for frizells spot in rnd 1?

Strange that Cooper is on the bench? Then again he can come on after say 20-25 mins and do a massive stint and either finish the game or come off at the 70min mark
