Yeah that doesn't surprise me to hear mate. I was pretty concerned when we signed him originally but I'm happy so far with everything he has said. So here's hoping.

Fuck me, I haven't talked this much about the Knights in ages.

On behalf of all of our Fanatics, I would like to say sorry.

Archer wrote:Yeah that's what was 'reported'. Whether that's knights damage control, wild media speculation because "Raiders always pay overs" or actually accurate is anyone's guess. Unless we are no longer trying to get Jr Paulo I doubt its that high (although all fans say this when someone signs I know). Seems far too high to pay for a position we are already strong in for someone with talent but little experience. I've no doubt we paid pretty well though, wouldn't have got him otherwise. Just that number seems extreme.

Played a lot of right centre in NSW cup last year. Maybe thats where they see him?

So if Stockwell takes over the starting spot is it a safe bet to say he'll get around 40-50 minutes or not and how secure would his starting spot be with the suspensions and Tapine getting demoted and all?
I checked his stats and last year he played 40+ minutes on four occasions for return scores of 43 (46m), 34 (43), 37 (43) and 54 (53). It's a small sample size and he's not quite a PPM player but he pretty much scored all his points on base stats, his 54 came from just tackles and metres with one offload so he looks like a reliable option at least if he gets the minutes.

How about the young back rowers they've let go in recent years. Cordner, Josh Jackson. Now Tapine. Very unfortunate.

I remember when Stockwell broke through at St George his PPM stats were excellent. All base stats too, as you say.

If he gets a starting gig and 40+ mins, he's an absolute must.

Tapine signed with Canberra and is dead to me.

Barba is an in form Dally M medallist who can't be looked over for fullback ignoring all of Holmes talent.

A few newbies are in and a few old Sportal heads have made the jump.

Surprised Tapine left? I thought the Knights had tabled an offer for about a mil. Raiders must have offered something massive!

Barba in my head always had the fullback spot. Holmes is still young and no doubt full of talent but I think at the end of this year Barbas contract wont be renewed and Holmes will be given the spot next year. But it must suck for young Holmes to be sitting second fiddle but at least hes in the team and im sure other offers from clubs will push his price up! Cant see Bird playing fullback I think centre or lock are his positions.

Good to see this site gain a fair new bunch of people. Imagine team list Wednesday haha

Barnaby Joyce was elected 13th leader of the National Party. Oh right, you mean something people actually care about?

Bmoz is in doubt to start the season. Mad

Surprised and annoyed. I reckon the deal would be worth around 1.2 that he took but reports are 1.5. Enjoy the cold, Tapine.

Nothing about Barba's game last year made me think he would be ready for FB. Holmes the other hand did. I'd be surprised if he wasn't FB before Barba. You keep the players you want to keep happy.

The more I think of it the more I am shocked he left. Im also upset Houston has gone I was always a fan of him. I think Brown is doing the job that no one else wants to do! But he'll probably be the best thing for the team in the long term!

I agree about Barba with his game last year and the fact they really should be keeping Holmes and Bird happy for the long term but I just have the nagging feeling it'll be Barba starting fullback

Also, take this with a grain of salt with what you will. My jurno mate (not the fucking lurker even though he did touch on this) Told me that Griffen is extremely displeased with Seggys attitude and general fitness and that Wallace has been spending some time at hooker at training.

Don't tell that to Scouter, Seggy was the second hooker taken in our draft Razz

Can't see much in it TBH, too good a player to leave out
