Took him instead of Harris last year 1st Round. Waiting every week for him to get 60-80 minutes. Hinchciffe going is a binus but STorm will be one of the teams probably not using a back up hooker, so 4 forwards on the bench makes it a risk.

Anyone know the teamlist for the Broncos game tonight? I'd be interested to see how Molo and Boyce go

Who would play lock while he's off?

Looks like Fox is showing replays so that might mean Nine is showing them again.

looking at the possible panthers lineup, I realise two things...

    1. Moylan
    2. Mansour
    3. Hiku
    4. Whare
    5. DWZ
    6. Soward
    7. Wallace
    8. McKendry
    9. Seggy
    10. RCG
    11. Cartwright
    12. Taylor
    13. Merrin
    14. Peachy
    15. Latimore
    16. Matagi
    17. Yeo

    1) Panthers might well be one good half from a very memorable season. Perhaps with the inevitable injury Martin might get a run and they go Boom. Danger players all along that backline.

    2) Though I know they will not, I would put Merrin into the front row with RCG. Panthers have plenty of second row stocks. 11.Cartwright 12. Peachy 13. Taylor is already formidable enough.  Add Merrin, seggy and RCG, its a hell of a starting forward pack.

panthers were my specials last year before an apparent bomb went off in their training ground and they all got injured!

When Soward/Wallace gets injured they have the depth to push DWZ FB and bring in Blake and move moylan with Martin

plenty of options and will be putting some dough on them again

Lots of points if they stay healthy. And yeah, a Soward/TMM halves combo sounds pretty handy on paper.

Where is Idris nowadays, is he still contracted to the Panthers?

Nah Idris quit the Panthers. I think at one stage they actually said he's retiring due to a back injury but seems like he actually just wants to take a long break and get away from the city life for a while. He could come back in future perhaps but he's got a few personal issues to deal with.

Speaking of the Panthers I really wish there was some way we could find out how they're going to allocate their minutes in the forwards, more specifically the back-row. I'd say Peachey will swap with Merrin so he can play that roaming, ball-playing lock role but Merrin's a 60 minute player at the least and Peachey's also a big minutes player so they're not going to give him less than 30. Yeo plays big minutes too but the two people he'd substitute for are 80 minutes players.
Maybe I should tweet Gus Gould about it but maybe it's up to the coach to decide and I rarely get replied to on twitter.

Oh that crazy Griffin. I have Merrin and Cartwright at the moment, if they play the minutes they should they'll be dynamite but if not I'm starting the season with two guns who are going to score below their potential. Trials aren't really going to tell us anything about minutes either, maybe just how they might use certain players.
