If I don't get Starling in the cash saved probably won't be enough to get MC9 in

Part of the reason why Roberts to Starling is so appealing is because it reduces my 3 red dots to two (Stefano + Leniu). I missed the Walsh and Cini potential wasted trades so I can afford to take a risk. However, it means 1 less R13 player. Would be letting MC9 go and be brining in Koro + Mahoney as my last two R13 players. This gives me 13 R13 players, all but Leniu and Stefano as guns, and 18 trades for R17 and the run home. I can also trade Simonsson to a R13 player when he "peaks" in a few weeks time giving me 14. All R17 players I am carrying are useful and the remaining Origin players i'm happy to hold all year.

Oh, are we keen on Starling? I thought the whole Bulldogs early exit was a joke.

Will go Angus & Hampton to Fogarty and Flegler with cash in the bank for a single upgrade next week.
I can’t bring myself to sell Fifita, I will never get him back.
If Walker is out I will have to play Simonson.
That moment when you’re setting your team and slotting in Flegler not Crichton

Manly are shit without him and need him I reckon he gets the 1 rest and plays 6 out of the next 9.
I find it hard to see him playing 2 days after origin regardless of how much they need him. Those 2 weeks they are playing Cows and Dragons. Very likely games for them to win with Turbo or not.

My main reaction to ARey going to the Broncos has now morphed to looking forward to a cash cow HLF starting for the Bunnies next year. Which has some nice symmetry given how Reynolds killed it as a cash cow HLF in 2012.

Especially a club like Newcastle need wins to play finals footy. No way they hurt their chances of beating the Tigers tomorrow night just so QLD can have one of their players a bit fresher for a game in 4 weeks time

It really depends on how much he gets hit in the game.
Whenever FOGs talk about backing up after Origin, they make reference to wanting to play in the next 48 hours, it's the 4 days later that really knocks them about.

I'll be trading one of them to Fog next week.

Was gonna respond to this - absolutely.
No team/coach cares that much about SOO.
It's the premiership that pays the bills.
Knights would be gutted that Ponga is out. No way they are resting him for Qld.

My team is:
Brailey
Harris Crichton Haas
Fifita Schuster
Cleary Fogarty
Peachy Bird
Ponga Tedesco Laurie
Watson Croker Alvaro Walker
Walsh Simpkin Utoikamanu Verrills
+4k
My first thoughts are:
Fifita + Ponga -> Turbo + Papali'i/Starling but Im not sure. what trades do you think I should do>

With Lam as partner, might only be scratching the surface of Walker as an elite fantasy half, could be bulk KM incoming

I was thinking about the current players who are out in the likes of Ponga, Munster, Grant, Fifita and had this thought
Ponga, Munster, Grant – All picked up 1-2 week “injuries”. Perhaps QLD have told their respective clubs to give them a couple weeks rest to freshen up (not get injured) for Origin in a few weeks time.
Fifita – 1 week for early plea, 2 weeks if he challenges it. NRL teams know damn well how hard the NRL are cracking down on head knocks lately. Paul Green asked Holbrook to let Fifita challenge it so he had a couple weeks off before Origin.
Thoughts?
NRL coaches don't care in the slightest about origin. They would prefer that no players play origin

Article on NRL.com about Walker resigning til 2023. Robbo when asked about Suaali playing he said 'not looking likely this week.' I'm guessing that means Walker is looking positive to suit up.
