I’ve got 541k so I can turn Alvaro/Utoikamanu into anyone but I have to get a centre of I want to have 17 players and I don’t want to make 2 trades

Haven't seen him mentioned so far but Gilbert now has the starting spot at Cowboys with Hess out. DPP Mid/Edg priced at 435k and passes the eye test. Too close to round 13 for myself to take the gamble but would be all over him if it was round 14

    Simpkin
Pros: Has potential to make money if he plays. Better chance of getting back into the side than Momi.
Cons: No clue when he gets back in.

    Momi
Pros: Will play round 13 for sure.
Cons: Low chance he gets back into the side outside of that. Getting subbed on as 18th man will also tank his value.

I'm punting both. Even if Simpkin comes back he will score like ass in 50mins.

Hess back in a week though? Gilbert could keep the position though tbh.

Didn't realise Hess was only 1 week. Ideally Hess takes the position back and Gilbert is starting in round 14 on merit

Not too late to grab CHN is it? Looking at him as an option to replace Simpkin, don't mind that he doesn't play 13, I currently only have 3 Rd 17 players Neutral

Re-watched the part of the Raiders game where Starling was subbed, didn't notice it at the game.

Wighton was already in the bin and Starling had been blowing a fair bit due to a fair bit of defense. A set later Papa got sent off so the Raiders were down to 11, Ricky subbed fresh man Lui on for Starling as that unfolded.

Two mins later the Raiders got the ball back and went on attack, and Starling was straight back on (and 30 seconds later Wighton returned to the field).

    Pretty smart from Ricky really.

Just in case anyone's considering J Bowen, Hammer and O'Neill both due back rd 14. Bowen's done fine in a real life and fantasy perspective but don't think Payten gives him a run over those two for mine.

Stay away from me unless you melt it and slather it on. Peanut butter works too. ...This sounds weird out of context

I am thinking of the same trade. I have heard people say it is too late but a 40 scorer who is actually playing is pretty valuable to me at this point and he is the best player I can get for Simpkin in 1 trade.

I've got the following who I hope are keepers:
    Brailey
    Crichton
    Haas
    iPap
    Matterson
    Cleary
    Moses
    Bird
    Peachey
    Teddy
    Trbo

Plus these potential keepers at a pinch:
    Watson
    Fogarty
    Starling

    Main Final 17 targets:
    Tohu
    Fifita
    Pappy

I have the same keepers except Pangai for Ipap. I have the same targets.  And the same potential keepers if I bring in Starling which I'm still considering.

Question: Do you intend to keep all five origin players over Origin? I think MS has said he'll likely sell Crichton and Turbo.  I've been playing around with both options.

I'm willing to sell anyone except for the uber guns that have you hiding behind the couch. Cleary, Teddy and Haas the only must holds for mine

EDIT: This is because I believe their are valid alternatives for the run home. You can get away with a back 3 from Teddy, Papy, Ponga, Latrell, RTS, Turbo + possibly To'o. For Edge you have Tohu, Crichton, Fifita, Matterson, Papali'i, Frizell, TPJ

Might have been mentioned, but listening to the NRL Fantasy Podcast last night they made it pretty clear there won't be any 'bonus trades' this year.

They didn't explicitly say it, but reading between the lines they seemed to know people would be pretty pissed if it happened again.

Yeah it's late for big cash generation from him but if he can average between 40-45 through until round 18 I'd be very happy. Just with Ricky you never know how solid his starting spot is once players return.
