Quite a few have done this and then signed elsewhere.
Hope he sticks around though. Be nice if he keeps the form up too.

my tv broke wrote:Pangai claims the Tigers meeting never happened.
“I never met with the Tigers, that’s the truth,” Pangai Jnr said.
“It‘s been a frustrating week with all the rumours going on.
“I just tried to play my best game on the weekend (against the Roosters) — I wanted to show the club and the fans that I’m committed to staying here at the Broncos.
“There were rumours going around at the start of the year about my future, which made clubs contact my manager. I’m not a free agent until November so right now it’s not in my interest to be negotiating with other clubs anyway.
“I’m also on probation so I have to stay out of trouble to keep my contract at the Broncos and stay in Brisbane.
“Brisbane gave me a second chance after my mishap last year, so how would it look if I walked out on them to join another club? I’m committed to the Broncos and even if other clubs are interested, it’s my preference to stay here.”
“I’m doing my best to stay out of the headlines. I have a family to think of,” he said.
“I am about to get married, my partner is 13 weeks pregnant so I have no plans on leaving Brisbane.
“I also have my younger brother here, he has one more year of high school and I am looking after him.
“I promised my parents when Jermaine moved up here that I would care for him, so I have a duty to look after his welfare.”

As long as it's not domestic violence or anything equally serious, it's actually kind of nice to see them grow up and improve themselves over their careers. Good on him. (I actually forgot what he did haha, if it was something serious then I def take this post back haha).

Looking at one trade - Ipap in for Papz or Crichton. Part of me is thinking just go with 0 trades as I do have 17 playing (thank fuck for Momi coming back haha). Anything could happen with suspensions and origin selections, so may be wise to just hold on to trades and max trade next week once we know who is actually playing R13?

VILI KIKAU????
494K – BE41
No Capewell this week, meaning Martin is the other starting second row and Kikau could see more minutes than usual with Sorenson the only real second row option on the bench.
Then next week with likely no Capewell, Yeo and possibly Martin, he could again see either 80 or close to minutes in R13 and then the week after could see a player or two rested and more minutes?
To add to this he has Bulldogs, Tigers and Cronulla over the next three meaning he can crash over for a few tries average 50+ and then be traded to a R17 player?
Thoughts

"he won't be playing for the next couple of weeks at least as he continues to recover. We'll take a really conservative and cautious approach with ryan. There's no point for us or for him in terms of welfare and health in rushing him back".
a bit contradictory to Ponissi comments yesterday, but he sounded pretty strong on the above.
