Currently nobody has any WFBs in their 14-17 at full strength. You can change your squad makeup to have 2-3 extra WFBs and still maintain coverage for other positions.
Come round 1 next year there is a close to 0% chance that the rules will be interpreted the same way that they are currently. But assuming there is still a big focus on head high contact and plenty of suspensions going round, then why not follow the MS rule and get players who are more likely to actually play games.
it was just a light hearted jab, all in good fun from my end.
i dont mind the idea but end of the day we will all work towards who is value for money to go along with who we consider 'guns'. obviously matt will probably go his own path and that's fine.
things will probably be different by then anyway.

Maybe next year your WFB back up isn't Williame but Turbo. Traditionally we have all gone for the cheapest outside back in the 13-21 maybe that changes

Speak for yourself I have 5 WFBs in my 17 this week and have another one in the loop (Teddy, Turbo, Hynes, Walsh, Laurie with Doueihi in the loop), this year WFBs and halves are king, the age of the forward is over in fantasy.

Almost certainly. I guess it's a bit more interesting if Munster's out too, with talk of Ponga 6 Brimson 1. I guess Hunt just comes in & makes Mahoney even more likely in some capacity.

He's averaging 56 when the Roosters win (5 games), and 20 when they lose (3 games).
That's such a big differential that I think fixtures do potentially come into it as he does well when the Roosters dominate.
That's both as an eye-test as well as on the game stats.
A lot of the games they have won, they have won because of Sam Walker. Causation not correlation.
Also, you listed Titans as a tough game. It might be tough for Roosters to win, but Titans have has a leaky defense this season, so I think its a game Walker can score well in, whether or not Roosters actually win the game.
I'm holding him for now, because I think losing $80k is a fine price to pay for keeping a green dot in my team.

Could you tell Fifita that (until I have a chance to get him back)

I'll keep playing but missing a move like this is probably going to cause slow rank falls from here on I feel. The points is one thing but the money missed will be crucial and owners now have a massive leg up so well done to you all. I feel like that's my season done. It feels great when shit goes your way but fuck you do feel like throwing the towel in when you miss a massive play like Hynes. Kills the hype for the game at such a crucial time.
It's stupid how things like this which mean absolutely nothing to your life can cause such turmoil lol. Sometimes I do think about quitting because a game like this which again means fuck all is not as important as your mental state sometimes haha, and times like this test that. I'm not a quitter though and plus, I have nothing better to do! But Damn I don't even want to think about fantasy anymore this weekend.
I will just hold trades and maybe use 3 next week. Still want Burton but would kill me if I trade him in and he doesn't play next week.
Edit: not to mention only having Haas last night ffs!
I agree completely, I can't beleive how many times i have quit or wanted to quit alone this year. Its amazing really how unimportant in the grand scheme of things this game is in life but how much it can get to you!
Hopfully you're on the up Wolfie!

Walker and Walsh would be absolute last resorts. I'd be looking Val or Brimson to FB

Things will definitely be different by then.
But the worst thing will be picking a team next year based on the rules at round 1. Then round 7 comes along and V'Landys shakes things up again and completely changes the way the game is played, making your round 1 planning useless.

So I have A. Kelly & Laurie in the loop:
TU: take Kelly's 37 points or
TD: play Laurie
Cheers

This is exactly my thinking, next season WFB will be the new HOK, fill your bench with them, especially with all the quality young guys coming through that are looking capable of a 50+ average.Milchcow wrote:

Fifita's the main exception, I'll be watching the Titans game this weekend from behind the couch, it's terrifying to not own him. I did trade him to Turbo though so it was basically like for like in terms of upside

Only gets to you if you let it - gotta delve into yourself and ask why it's getting to you so much.
They can't get your goat if they don't know where you tied it up!

Problem is that all these young guys like Walsh, Hynes etc are busy ruining their prices for next year
At this rate, Teddy and Ponga will be the discount options.

That's the thing I feel bad about, my rank is very good so it sucks feeling like that when there are so many other legends on here doing it rough and way down the pecking order in terms of rankings. I'm just a salty selfish prick I guess. I mean, only had Haas last night and my live rank is 2692 so I do feel bad for putting it out there, but it is what it is. We'll see how round 13 plays out. Damn fantasy lol!
Can't complain when Haas was your captain you poor prick.

Surely. And with no Haas that probably makes TPJ a shoe in
