Can't complain when Haas was your captain you poor prick.

Yeah I've been pretty lucky this year (had Cleary/Fifita from the start etc.) and am still ranked 4413 at the moment (had Beans/Haas/TPJ last night), you're doing just fine so far. if Papy's back in round 14 then us Beans owners are in a pickle

If it's any consolation I'm bored with both NRL as a product and fantasy as a game and live ranked 850. It's not you mate, this year and last have been down compared to previous years.

Cheers Wolfie Smile Yeah holding Papy for 4 weeks is what killed my rank, I was at 1353 the week he went down and lost 4k ranks over the course of those 4 weeks. Hoping to gain some back now that I sold Papy and got Beans in, I'm going all in next week and captaining him

Men will literally rather play NRL fantasy without Nathan Cleary in there team than go to therapy.

I know people like making fun of Matt every time he says anything. But surely people don't think he wants to play Tedesco at prop.

Currently nobody has any WFBs in their 14-17 at full strength. You can change your squad makeup to have 2-3 extra WFBs and still maintain coverage for other positions.

Come round 1 next year there is a close to 0% chance that the rules will be interpreted the same way that they are currently. But assuming there is still a big focus on head high contact and plenty of suspensions going round, then why not follow the MS rule and get players who are more likely to actually play games.

I was mostly joking although loading up on WFBs doesn't help when I need mid cover. Having said that though, I currently have Teddy/Turbo/Walsh/Hynes/Laurie with four of them in the 17, all five if Laurie scores well this week.

wolfking wrote:Yeah, I'm salty AF not getting Hynes but it was too difficult without trading Crichton or a double trade which wouldn't have been wise long term.  90 points is just a kick in the nuts though.

I'll keep playing but missing a move like this is probably going to cause slow rank falls from here on I feel.  The points is one thing but the money missed will be crucial and owners now have a massive leg up so well done to you all. I feel like that's my season done. It feels great when shit goes your way but fuck you do feel like throwing the towel in when you miss a massive play like Hynes.  Kills the hype for the game at such a crucial time.

It's stupid how things like this which mean absolutely nothing to your life can cause such turmoil lol.  Sometimes I do think about quitting because a game like this which again means fuck all is not as important as your mental state sometimes haha, and times like this test that.  I'm not a quitter though and plus, I have nothing better to do!  But Damn I don't even want to think about fantasy anymore this weekend.

I will just hold trades and maybe use 3 next week.  Still want Burton but would kill me if I trade him in and he doesn't play next week.

Edit:  not to mention only having Haas last night ffs!
You’ll be right Wolfie you will recover and trades in hand are very valuable. That’s how I felt when I had 7 red arrows 7 weeks in a row but even when wanting to give up I’ll still plod away try claw my way back as much as I can as I love this game too much just like you do.

Hopefully the Bunnies can bounce back tomorrow to boost our spirits. I still feel flat over last weeks game actually that hurt a lot!

I have 500k to bring a player in for a points boost this week. Only playing 16 otherwise.

    Thoughts on a good option?

I'm missing bullets left right and center at the moment.
Missing most suspensions and injuries. I do own Lodge though.

I picked up Hynes last week when the rumour was floating around that Papy was going to be out for longer, which happened to be true. Not owning Haas has also worked in my favour with his ownership at 40% in the top 5000.
I've managed to gain a few hundred ranks each week without owning Turbo and Walsh which indicates that my team balance is robust enough. Let's hope this round is another positive step

    CHN?

    JWH?

    Bird? Cotric? Harper? Wade?

Burton is the one I'd do.

If you don't already have Walsh, he's number one. If you do have him, here's a few options:

CHN - might suffer with GWill gone though

Burton - Plays centre so a bit risky and is a slight risk of 18th man for NSW but huge upside

Kikau - Great attacking upside but low floor

Taukeiaho - with Radley suspended long term and Collins done for the year he's not a bad buy at the right price though probably not a keeper

Harper - Nice little POD at centre, is great at setting up his winger and is running off Turbo's hip

Bird - Loves a slap TB and is a good scorer at centre but his team is shit
