You're definitely in the running with a round to go.
It will be interesting to see how the cards fall across the weekend with possible rested players.

Sorry mate, I haven't completed/posted it yet (I need to work around work). I hopefully should have this up later this morning.
Cheers

LORD of the BYES - Round 17 Results
LORD of the BYES - Round 17 Results
Here are the top 20 scorers for this round.
Just four teams managed to field 10 players and all of them crossed the 500 point mark with Papadontbleach topping the weekly with a score of 529 points.
Pain continues to assert his credentials for the overall title and will be hard to beat with just one round to go.
Has he done enough? or will it come down to rested Origin players and Captaincy choices.
Total points and averages based on number of players:
Here are the stats based on the round averages for players in this comp.
Most teams this week managed a player average of just under 50 points with Wolfking having the highest player average at 53.3.
Generally, if you scored over 350 points, you probably made some gains - so 7 players was probably enough to be gaining ranks.

LORD of the BYES - Round 17 Results
LORD of the BYES - Round 17 Results
================================
There were some huge rank improvers this week, with none more so than Clack Bocks who surged past more than 4000 teams.
An impressive 77% of teams managed to gain ranks this week, here are the biggest improvers:
Revraiser continues to dominate the Rank Improvers league, but with big gains from Dttragic2016, robelgordo and expert bye-strategist MS hot on his tail, this one may go down to the wire.
Finally, in the relative rank improvement table, Pain continues to gain ground on the overall competition leaders.
Next week is the last round of the Lord of the Byes - with trades running low and everything to play for.
Good luck all!

Re: LORD of the BYES
Thanks tiger. Looks like you and I are going head to head for a podium position in the overall Lord of the Byes as well as the relative rank improvers. And pretty similar for the overall rank too. All the best and thanks for all your advice.
I’m only in my 2nd season so don’t feel I have a lot to offer. The dice have rolled favourably for me (e.g. planning to trade in Tohu for round 17 rather than 16) so now I have my fingers crossed for a top 100 finish.
Seems like holding on to Cleary might work out OK but it probably cost me a bit during the Bye rounds. It didn’t seem to hold back TheWeapon but he went large on Round 17 so may have to do more tinkering to land on a final team.
Bring on Round 18 and I hope everyone’s ready to adapt for the late outs of Origin players.

The Lord of the Byes revealed
LORD of the BYES - Round 18 and Final Results
Well, here we are, at the end already.
What a round to finish the comp, if your players weren't rested or scoring 70's, 80's and 90's, then they were probably scoring 20's, 8's, maybe just 3 points.
Only three teams were able to crack one thousand points, with Wolfking leading the way.
Well done also to Liverpool_Bulldog who managed an impressive 994 points despite playing one short
Here are the top 20 players to navigate this tricky round.
With it being the last round, we also have our winner - no surprises to see Pain finish off his dominance over the last few rounds - albeit with Weapon a valiant 29 points behind.
Congratulations Pain - You are the undisputed "Lord of the Byes" - feel free to add this to your profile (if you wish)
You will of course be receiving plenty of thumbs-up reputation from myself through to the end of the season.
We're also hoping to organise an exclusive Fanatics polo for you towards the end of the season - so I will be in touch later about that!
Total points and averages based on number of players:
In the leaderboard I have also highlighted the top 10 most players used across the 6 rounds of the Lord of the Byes competition.
I have also highlighted the top 10 player averages across each teams squad.
The most players fielded across the 6 weeks was 95, with the least being 77 (CK). That's a whopping 18 players difference and over 1000 points. It shows what a difference good planning and a bit of good fortune can make over the bye period.
Unfortunately, Fantasy Celebrity Chris Kennedy came last in the comp, and there are 42 worthy candidates for his Fantasy job next year.

Lord of the Byes - Final results - part 2
LORD of the BYES - Final Rank Improver Results
================================
It was another good week to make some rank gains and no-one did it better than Clack Bocks who topped the table for the second week running.
This one really did go down to the wire, with the top two improvers climbing 8895 and 8820 places respectively.
Finally, the relative rank improvement table further underlined why Pain fully deserves the title of Lord of the Byes.
What's next?
We have our 2021 Champion, but the Lord of the Byes competition will be back next year bigger and better than ever (or something like that).
To my understanding all 3 State of Origin games will revert to being mid-week next year.
That likely means 3 major and 3 minor bye rounds, guaranteed carnage, and a chance for the ultimate team planning strategists to shine. Lot's to look forward to, see you in 2022!

Re: LORD of the BYES
Thanks for organising easytiger and congrats to the table toppers especially Pain! Happy I managed to sneak into the bottom of a couple tables.
Looking forward to next year, haven't played fantasy with major and minor bye rounds so not sure how that will work but sounds interesting.

Re: LORD of the BYES
Congrats Pain. You gained over 200 points on me while I was overtaking 80% of those above me. Fair play mate.
And commiserations Weapon. You came close. And managing to roll out 95 players is really impressive. That's 27 across the 2 bye rounds. I'm gunning for you to fly even closer to the sun by round 25.
And a well deserved podium, Tiger. You maintained your loyalty to Brooks and Laurie and they came through for you in Round 17.
Overall it seems like it was a successful 6 rounds for most of us, so well done all you rank improvers too.
Thanks for all the organising, Tiger. It was fun to be mixing it with some crafty traders and hopefully I've picked up some tips for next year.
