Re: LORD of the BYES
Thank you everyone
And thanks to everyone who participated - you can't have a competition without participants, so I really appreciate everyone who has joined in, and hopefully it's given some ideas/lessons for navigating next year's bye rounds!

2nd in rank improvers pretty easy when you start in the 16000s. Thanks for running, definitely interesting and can learn a bit for future seasons from this.

That's what I like to hear.
As a kiwi, I should probably be happy with a 3rd (as we generally excel at getting 4th place in things), but I too have my eyes on the prize next year.
I look forward to squaring up against some quality competition once again.

It does provide more teams to overtake, but at the same time, it presents a different challenge.
If you're starting from 16k then you probably have had a number of things not go your way, so it's a harder starting point.
It also seems that plenty drop their heads and give up when things haven't gone their way, so full credit to you for competing hard and scrambling back up the rankings.
It's a great achievement.
I always think the more you put in and are open to change, the more you can take out of season.

As a self confessed Bye planner addict year in year out I am kicking myself for being away from the Forum when this started. Have enjoyed following the thread over the last month since I discovered it was a thing, awesome work easytiger!

Thanks, SI
Here's a special one just for you;
I had a guestimate of your starting rank, and I think you're up around 7,500 places across the duration of the competition.
That would've been enough to be either 3rd or 4th (Dttragic2016 improved 7,497 places).
You would've easily smashed the R17 all comers, your score of 719 was 190 points better than our official first place for that round.
