We need someone tough to captain this lot - so someone sent off at 13 calling ref a cheat seems a good choice

I like that Chewie is a specialist EMG with position EMG.
Basically he can sub in anywhere, but is a real risk of being sent-off for a coat hanger with those long shaggy arms.

I can imagine Welshy giving the team a spray

HOMESICK? WILLIAMS HEADS TO THE GOLD COAST

The George Williams situation might have gone quiet for the time being in the national capital but there is still plenty going on behind the scenes.

Williams is currently holidaying on the Gold Coast - so much for being homesick - while the England halfback tries to resolve his contract termination with the Canberra Raiders.

Predictably, another NRL club has already fielded a call to gauge interest in adding Williams to its roster for next year.

Surprise, surprise, it’s a beachside club.

Where it could get slightly complicated will be the detail of Williams’ exit from Canberra.

Because the Green Machine has agreed to release him early there is expected to be a clause stipulating he can only be let go to join a Super League club overseas.

It's weird going into the Friday game and the only decision I have to make is to decide exactly how much bench-wankery I want to use.

I think I'm leaning towards just using a Luke Brooks - I feel like he lowers the tone of the starting 17...

Congrats Joseph Manu, you've earned yourself a seat on the pine.

I think it's a 50/50.  There's nothing to say Hodgson is going anywhere anytime soon.  If I had him, I'd want to hold but can see the merit behind trading.  Was Hodgson starting again just a once of, who knows.

I will be trading Starling or Sam Walker to Brodie Jones

Sam Walker seems more likely to be useful over the next month so Starling is out

I was once likened to Ross Conlon.... showing my age - (must admit I took that as an insult even though, incredibly, he pulled on the green and gold for one match - used to joke that he stepped off both feet at the same time)

I dare u to form a 'snippet' from the game, like a phantom racecall, only a few mins of the Fanatics in action.
