569 for the round, down to 6,041st overall.  15 trades remaining, $211k in the bank. Jones trade went OK, but otherwise the same busts (Moses, Fogarty, Kelly, Alvaro etc) as everyone else...

Based on post last week of being 600-700k short of ideal team CHN probably good option for Alvaro

Thought we would be fair bit closer to one of the R17 guns but apparently not

I'm on board with Alvaro ---> CHN

Other/future options for trades: Tauk, Johnson, getting Fifita back in somehow and Papenhuyzen for Hynes when he returns.

Alvaro most urgent trade out

Brailey, Watson, Laurie and maybe Fogarty/Kelly want to go before R17 too
(Possibly Hynes before R17 if Papy comes back, but no hurry there)

I think David Fifita and Cook are the main final 17 priorities. And look to bring in Tauamlolo and/or AFB as discount options once they have proved their fitness Probably want a 3rd WFB. Ponga/Pappy ideally although we may be content to play Walsh if trades/cash force it

Suaalii is the main cash out I'd be looking at
CHN/Luke Thompson are the other R17 bye players worth having that we don't have already
(having already traded Tauk this year out I am not super keen on him personally but can see the attraction in his price)

Not sure about Cleary or Trbo backing up. Teddy and Haas I'm more confident in, but never know. Not sure on Moses' injury status either, doesn't seem serious, but could get a precautionary rest.

I don't mind the Alvaro to CHN trade that seems pretty popular. I was worried about CHN's job security 200k ago, but it's kinda now or never if getting him for Rd 17. Even though Alvaro's a green dot, I'm not sure he's worth holding even if it means playing short..

We can only afford 1 of Haas, Cleary, Moses, Teddy or Trbo to be rested, otherwise playing short from that point on. Anything we can do with Cini maybe?

thanks Winfield, and apologies all - have been smashed at work this week. bloody annoying when real life gets in the way of fantasy.

If both Teddy and Turbo are out (and i noticed both had ice on - maybe just precautionary - after the game), then we’d need a WFB. Alvaro->CHN doesn’t give us many options for Cini (eg Marzhew or Schoupp, or Suaalii if Teddy is out). Alvaro->SST could allow us to do Cini->Simonsson.

Or we pass on CHN and SST and go for a mid WFB like Edwards or Dufty or Farnworth (not round 17). With 5 WFB already, that seems like too much one position.

Or we just accept we might be playing short this week and just make the one trade we want on its merits?

Throwing some double trade options out based on main thread chatter. Other than Alvaro and Cini, I guess Trbo could be a candidate if rested this week, misses 17 and potentially 18.

Bank + Alvaro + Cini = 851k on 2 players.

Seem to be the names being mentioned. Not a coincidence that they're all WFBs I guess.

Might not be worth the trade for potentially 20-30 points. Would need them playing Rd 17 too for it to maybe be worth it..

I'd go CHN over SST if it's a pick between the two.

Sounds like CHN will be the frontrunner, but worth throwing Curran's name in the hat? Same price as SST, so keeps the Simonsson option open if some prefer him.

Marzhew can probably be scratched. No Rd 17 and CT's return.

Any interest in trading Trbo if he's probably missing 3 of the next 5? Could be any position if Teddy's playing, but mightn't have confirmation.

Taumalolo and Luke Thompson for a couple of Rd 17 non-origin guys.

So no Turbo, no Cleary, means 16 on the field.  If Teddy plays, we won't need a WFB.  I'll put the trade poll up with all the suggestions, worth a gamble on Lussick for Cini?
