Good luck to you mate, awesome charge and you’re in a good spot.

I think you need to go hard or conserve, that way you’re either near the front and in a position to hold on with some luck, or you have lots of trades to come home strong. Last year o went hard. This year I tried conserving but stuffed up my starting team and have ended up somewhere in the middle in no mans land Sad.

Yeah positives for every approach, before even considering each week's plethora of anarchy via form/suspension/coach/injury... There is always time to reassess or change it up.

Totally agree mate. The year I almost won, I think I had about 5 trades left post-origin (but my team was pretty spot on) and just hoped for some luck on the injury front

Did u have to use them in the end ? How many points off first at the buzzer ?

The bloke in first has certainly had some luck, but has been playing a pretty ice cool game really as far as I can tell. Will be interesting to see how he navigates the next bye.

There were a few binnings and HIA's in yesterdays game. A lot of people sometimes mistake this for player x getting more minutes but sometimes it actually goes in the opposite direction and stuffs the coaches rotations up and when player x is meant to stay on for 80 minutes or in other cases come back on after y minutes the coach can't do that because he is forced to use up an additional rotation on a middle player for example who needs another rest cause he has done 2 stint's instead of 1.

Yeah, I hear that. All that seems to mean in this case though is that he would have got another small stint, maybe. Still not playing 80 either way.

Averaging 63 mins in the last 4 rounds with no 80min games. I'm starting believe that's enough to show a trend.

Will Verrills really start? Thought Keighran played enough to start moving forward - also goal kicks and offers a kick out of dummy half

Thinking the same mate... if he locks in a 40-60min role he'd probably the top pick cash down keeper for the season

Scored 41 which included 9 MTs. One to keep an eye on for team lists for sure

Also their best goal kicker by a long, long way.. something surely to go into consideration for the coach. I mean when SWalker lined up that sideline kick, there wasn't a person in the ground that thought he'd make it, himself included. Tried to club it as he knew he didn't have the distance. Could of cost them the game

Yeah had to go all in with a few rounds left. Finished 16th overall and about 200 back in the end i think. Was quite a few years ago now. Had a bad year last year (I'm in L11, just shows the quality of the players on this forum!). Happy with how I'm going so far this year though, but it will be a similar strategy I think....be agressive with trades the next few weeks and have 6-8 left for the run home. And cross my fingers. Haha

Time to get in my team Tohu but given there aren’t heaps of R17 guns, I’m going to start thinking about players who might get an increased role due to origin. The R17 Burton equivalent.

Just thinking about this… not sure anyone going to get a huge points bump like Burton but there’s are a few that will have increased opportunity in R17

Manly - Foran/Cust with DCE and Turbo missing in R17

Canberra - Sutton is quite interesting, probably subgun but can score fantasy points. Could go huge with no big Papa

Souths - Cody Walker at FB maybe? Host lol

Cowboys - Hammer time at FB?

Roosters - Manu but does anyone really need another +500k CTR. Nat Butcher slotting in for Angus?

Suppose Benji plays hooker at Souths again rather than a cheapie which doesn't help.
Suaalii is the obvious one coming in for the Roosters.

Who fills in for Wighton at the Raiders? Whitehead to five-eighth or a debutant?
