As far as Teddy goes, late mail earlier in the week mentioned him needing to overcome a hip pointer injury. Latemail now doesn't mention it. Which to me suggests he did indeed overcome it. Captain's run today??

Its crazy to me that people think he wont be the starting 9 once match fitness is up.
I never thought that at all. I guess doubt comes cause he hasn't played a lot of footy, but that statement says a lot.

To me that makes it sound like he might even start this week come game day.
Yeah possibly.

That injury was from round 12 where he left the field for 10 mins and then returned. Played origin the next week. Iirc NRLPhysio posted that it's basically a pain issue and no risk of damage/etc. Should be good to go I think.

Wasn't really referencing yourself hah.
Anyway, he's a cheap cash out that fills a #19/#20 spot on roster to allow upgrades elsewhere. At worst he's a big minute starting hooker averaging in the 30s, which I'll take. At best, who knows.

Yeah. I think I'll lock in Laurie and Watson to him and Harris. Said before but seems too easy.

Just when some top unique teams were rising in the NBA play-offs, injuries take hold ! Anyone following ?

I'd be doing the same if I didn't already have him. Need to settle on another cashout but none appear as appealing as him.

Still weighing up my Averillo decision. After my first two trades, for rd17 I have Walsh, CHN, Simmo, Harris, SJ. My plan is to add five more between now and rd17. Verills is a gimme, I like Thompson and AFB. After that I'm a bit stuck. If a miracle cheap reliable good job security WFB who plays rd17 pops up between now and then I'd do that and use Simmo to turn into a gun WFB after origin rather than keeping him as my cover.
Failing that though, I need two more. SST maybe, dont love it. Lolo, not sure he's useful this year. Kapow? Given I've already got Haas, Crichton, Harris, TPJ, Peachey in a pinch and looking to get Thompson and AFB, I don't want another mid anyway. ARey? maybe but if things go the way I want them to he'll be 18th man, a position that Moses can fill without a trade.
There's no one I can see that will score me more rd17 points and improve my team every week he keeps his role than Averillo. He's expensive but the points will be worth it and it allows me to sell a peaked Burton after rd18. I think the risk is probably worth it. And if Lewis or Flannagan come back, hopefully it's at least after rd17 when I have his points and at over 700k will be swappable to pretty much any gun.
Or the other side of the argument: Is my logic wrong? Do I really need another 5 rd17 players if the trades just aren't there? I was hoping for 10 players, maybe 8 or 9 is enough?

Actually, would anyone go Taupau over Harris if it meant getting rid of Leniu instead of Laurie?

I'm thinking 8 or 9 might be enough for round 17 It's a big call on Avo though. Means you don't fall behind if he keeps going big. ARey and Taupau the others I'd definitely look at.
Just make sure you have trades spare for the run home. Don't force trades now I think if you think you'll need them later if guns fall over. If you aim for 10 round 17 players, how many trades are you left with?

Kathy, Irving and Paul.. all out. Basically kills two teams, Sun's and Clippers. The Nets can still win as they have two guns.

I keep thinking they might end up giving Harris a breather, but it doesnt happen. This isn't based on anything, so I'm not starting rumours, just speculating.
Egan going down probably stops any chance of it happening, given they wont have an 80 min hooker.

Playing H2H. Been rocking roberts in the centres the last few weeks. A bit less cool but I like gagai as centre with WFB cover. Averages 43-44, a good price and I think south’s come home with a wet sail. Plus I have no south’s players
14 trades left. Question atm is:
TU: gagai now
TD: timoko now for $, rd 17, and if (when) he loses his spot upgrade to my gun centre of choice
Cheers lads

I thought last week for sure he'd get a spell but it didn't happen. Looks like an absolute must have.

Harris owned by 81% of the top 5000. Taupau owned by 0.4%. I think that answers that.

Howdy Y'all,
Big thanks to MS & ynot for their follow-up with some really good stats after I raised the shifting HLF-HKR dynamic yesty. These are the reasons I spend far more time on this forum than I should.
