I like Lolo still, I'm hopeful he has turned a corner with his form (I bought him last week).
There's a little bit of a gamble with him, but I can't think of many players I'd rather gamble on.
Cheers.
I went with Lolo, just wanted another POV.
My bigeest concern with Schuster is the length of time he was out, that and his relative youth. Can see him getting a rest.
I agree that Lolo should start to average 55 - 65, even with the Cows using him as a battering ram / defensive middle.
They need him on the park more.
I also think he provides a better balance to your squad than having 4 edges and a further 2 players with MID/EDG DPP.

What was Lolo's injury at the start of the year? His hand? Maybe he was a bit wary of this and only in the last 3 weeks he is now 100% over it, judging by his ability to break tackles, which seems to be the only real change to his scoring.

It was a wrist injury from memory - still looked to be wearing some strapping on it last weekend.
I'm sure it was part of the issue initially.
Probably a culture shift with the new coach, could even be some off field distractions that just had him going at not quite 100%
He's starting to look a bit better, form is temporary, class is permanent... and all that

Damn it think I’ll be stuck with Brailey and Watson for the rest of the season. Had plans to upgrade Brailey to Bunt but with news Cleary coming back soon, need to save every coin I can

It was his hand. Then he injured the other hand. Might explain his form this year. His recent fantasy form has been real handy for us new owners.

The only thing making the decision hard for me is the Captaincy factor. I know that if he busts out 100. Everyone that has him is getting 200pts. There is day light between him and anyone else as a captaincy pick. Whilst I agree that waiting and seeing is safe option, I can’t imagine anyone finishing inside top 100 with out him.
If he drops his output by 30% he is still the best player in the comp. I can’t see him being 30% less involved even carrying an injury.
Captaincy is huge. Here's a hypothetical worst case scenario where I have to take out two guns to Cleary + cashout
Before Cleary
captain points - 70 (Fifita?)
Gun 1 (e.g. Moses) - 55
Gun 2 (e.g. CHN) - 50
TOTAL = 175 points
After Cleary and he only gets 75pts
Cleary (c) - 150pts
Promoted 18th man (Gamble?) - 40
TOTAL = 190 points
After Cleary and he maintains 95 avg
Cleary (c) - 190pts
Promoted 18th man (Gamble?) - 40
TOTAL = 230 points

I don't expect he averages less than 80 for the rest of the year. I do however think it's quite possible that he has a quieter (50-60pt) game his first week back.

If he gets suspended tonight and isn't named to play on the weekend then it would not count towards his suspension right? Because he wasn't named.

Howdy Y'all,
Anyone else pondering the WFB cashouts for this week covering Turbo (could have managed a CTR out but not WFB...what is this season!)? These are some of my thoughts:
1. Dunster, $228k - Basement price. Looks to have displaced Ferguson. Fairly involved for a winger and and averaging 25. Only 1 try.
2. Savige, $228k - Basement. Mixed game at FB and rotated with Rapana, but had some involvement. Unfortunately, placeholder until Simonsson comes back in Rd21-23.
3. Schoupp, $281k - A week late (like most things this year). Mixed scores so far; high of 39, low of 13. DPP is massive advantage. Should be safe when Okunbur returns, but still plays for the Bulldogs. DPP would offer chance to punt a CTR whose anagam is Loam and one of the big regrets of my season.
4. D. Young, $305k - Getting a bit pricier. DPP and best average (34.3) but mainly thanks to one big game (2T 60). Other scores in mid-20s. I'm thinking he's likely displaced by Best, yeah?
5, 6, & 7. Sloan, Berry & F. Manu - Limited shelf-life with Dufty, Aitken, and Okunbur respectively.
Big consideration is to limit the risk of red-dottage at the tail-end of the season.
Its got to be Schoupp vs Dunster doesn't it? DPP vs Cash?
Any thing/one obvious that I'm missing?
The Mayor.

I was at the Knights game when Young grabbed the 2 tries.
He's a winger, so Best won't affect him.
Also, a big body, which means he's above Musgrove (who's a total spud) and was willing to take some of the tough carries out of their end.
I think the wing spot is his to lose now.
Yes, he's pricier than the other cashouts, but his DPP makes him very handy.

I'm also looking for a cash out this week to build some bank
I've narrowed to schoupp vs young and that player will stay the rest of the year as a backup so more concerned with job security than average or cash generation
Leaning toward schoupp at this stage?
