    Big fan of *Salt N Pepa voice* Schoupp, baby. Made some strong tackles last week, good JS, a very handy backup option.

    Anyone still have RTS and know what to do with him? Have Ted, Hynes, Walsh, RTS, Laurie and feel like RTS is in between being good enough for starting 13 (coming off 74 and 61 but a 15 prior to that and 7 scores below 40) and too expensive to have in the emergencies (559k). Need to bring Fifita in this week and he's a candidate but not sure if he's the best one this week (Peach/Bird??). Aiming to trade Hynes to Pong/Turbo when Hynes goes back to the bench. Would appreciate any advice.

    Hmmm looks like this is the week a Cleary decision needs to be made even if not moving on him immediately. To bank or not bank funds.

    Peachey to Ponga is feeling a bit too much of a luxury if I want the game’s set and forget captain with one of my last 4 trades.

    Also trying to work out if I’m more of a chance of winning this thing with or without him, not sure where the point of difference is strongest among the top 500. Where is ynot when you need him!

    Wouldn't Laurie go before RTS, surely?

    Thinking I might bring Mahoney in for Sitili this week. It’s been a blast big man but I think Fifita, Wilton and Schuster is plenty at EDG going forward

    Captaincy is huge. Here's a hypothetical worst case scenario where I have to take out two guns to Cleary + cashout

    Before Cleary
    captain points - 70 (Fifita?)
    Gun 1 (e.g. Moses) - 55
    Gun 2 (e.g. CHN) - 50
    TOTAL = 175 points

    After Cleary and he only gets 75pts
    Cleary (c) - 150pts
    Promoted 18th man (Gamble?) - 40
    TOTAL = 190 points

    After Cleary and he maintains 95 avg
    Cleary (c) - 190pts
    Promoted 18th man (Gamble?) - 40
    TOTAL = 230 points

    Before Cleary
    captain points - 70 (Fifita?)
    Gun 1 (e.g. Moses) - 55
    Gun 2 (e.g. CHN) - 50
    TOTAL = 175 points 70 * 2 = 140 + 55 = 195

    The difference between say a Gamble to a Moses is just $210k, so even if Cleary went to DCE, you'd potentially be able to upgrade another player by 10 or so points too.
    It certainly get's closer, maybe 210 vs 190-230?

    I personally don't think Cleary averages 95 in the remainder of the season (anyone feel like an avatar bet?).

    It's almost a toss of a coin (in truth I haven't decided which way I'm leaning either)

    EDIT: I may have read this wrong - but think maybe with the other After Cleary one's should be Cleary + the difference in extra captaincy points?

    My thinking was Laurie's spot is a backup WFB. So he sticks around all year as backup or gets cashed out to a cheaper WFB.

    It might be as simple and obvious as what you've said and I'm overthinking it.

    Hi lads, would love some direction if anyone has a few minutes. Current team below with 5 trades ITB & 418k ITB.

    Brailey,
    Haas,AFB,Angus
    Dfi,CHN
    SJ, Moses,
    Ramien,Avo
    Walsh, RTS, Teddy

    Fog, Bird, iPap, Nikora
    Verrils, A.Kelly, Mbye, Cleary

    I'm really keen on Frizzel and Ponga to enter my team for Nikora and RTS but I'm conscious of being low on trades and now Mbye and A.Kelly look like huge problems.

    This week I was planning to do Nikora -> Ponga as he seems to have lost his spot and also was never really a keeper. Also weary that I only have very limited cover for Mid/edge in only iPap.

    Thanks crew

    If you can swing it, a guy who fluctuates between 70's and 20's makes the perfect player to loop in from #18th man.

    That being said, I'm probably holding Laurie as a backup for the forseeable.

    Average vs "the big 5": Panthers, Storm, Eels, Rabbitohs, Turbo Eagles = 32 (inc 4 tries from 7 games) -> 2 games to go
    Average vs "the rest" = 47 (inc 2 tries from 9 games) -> 6 games to go
