Not sure why scoring 40 fantasy points in a winning team should alter anyone's opinion of him.

We all know he can have amazing fantasy games when he's involved and can also be completely disinterested. There's another fullback with that M.O who's 200k cheaper in a better team with a better draw who I'd be more inclined to gamble on, particularly as Ponga has lost the goalkicking bonus as well.

Yeah, but then I'd have a reason to watch souths games. No rabbitohs in my team has made it easy to get my mandated outside time when they're playing most weeks.

    I don't mind this reasoning.

Everytime Johns was like "what is that for?" it was plain as day that the defending team has rushed out very early.

NSW fans seem to be upset that Qld were lying all over the ruck yet also upset there were so many penalties...

A lot of the same fans just spent the last few weeks saying the game is too fast and its leading to blowouts, so here's a slower game (which is still really fast, because six again penalties don't stop the game) and its a problem.

Sometimes we want the rules enforced and other times we want the game reffed according to the vibe.

This is why we can't have nice things.

On the facebooks, NRL Fantasy or some such had a post of the top 10 players named this week by season average.

I currently don't own any of the top 10 (about to get Fifita and maybe Ponga, and previously owned Crichton).

On reflection, I'm probably lucky to be ranked just inside the top 10k. My rank also shows how important it is to get the players that score the most points.

Thinking about the same trade. Brailey's scoring has completely fallen off a cliff. His attacking stats have dipped and he's missing more tackles. However if the Knights at full strength get on a roll maybe they return.

Now I've actually looked at Mahoney's scoring he's pretty reliant on attacking stats too. He plays for a better team so he's more likely to keep them up but if he doesn't come back strong after a while out with injury, his scoring may not be a whole lot better.

Not really. He's a CTR who can still get to 30+ and there's bigger things to worry about than that.

If you paid premium for him then yeah it's not good but if you held him from the start or picked him up before he went on a hot streak then he's doing alright for the price paid.

I think if you have 3 other centres with job security, he's a trade.

If you have a lot of trades left, and can go Avo -> CTR that's 100-150k cheaper and use that money to upgrade to a gun on a 2nd trade, it's probably worth it too.

I think for most people not worth it. Including me.

Has anyone thought about daejern ASI as cash down? DPP WFB/Ctr and looks set to either be full back or in the halves at the cows with Holmes going down with an AC joint last night.

May be a bit short sighted if it’s only 2 weeks though?

Although I do note that Schouup is priced the same, DPP and a guaranteed starter for the year. Won’t score as well but is not going to become a red dot

Ponga has played once since Rd9, so its not surprising noone really has him yet, even if he is on everyone's radar

I am torn on bringing him in this week.
It would be for Matterson/Watson and leave me with 3 trades. So normally I would't trade a green dot, but but I'll play short a WFB if I don't bring one in.

And then basically won't be able to trade again except to bring Cleary in

    team is

    Cook
    Thompson Taumalolo Haas
    Matterson Fifita
    Sj Moses
    Burton Bird
    Tedesco Trbo Walsh

    Crichton Schuster Watson Tohu
    Verrills Peachey Roberts Suaalii

Some good thoughts there thanks mate. I would have it locked in already, but concerns around re-injury and a Lussick reappearance are holding me back.

Where are the out and out gun hookers this year?!

If you can do something of value with Peachey I'd want him gone before Matterson. Seems to be back to a 20-30 minute bench role which you won't want anywhere near your team except emergencies. Leaves Roberts as centre coverage and Crichton/Tohu MID
