Raiders have named a full strength trial squad apart from Austin & Fensom. Fensom was originally named but the raiders have updated the squad just now to say he's being held back as a pre-caution.

Interesting that the Knights trial team has Feeney at f/b which has been discussed but Stockwell starting prop & K. Sims in the 2nd row.

looks like a dress rehearsal for rnd 1. mullen playing nsw cup because of a night on the booze.. ha ha. bit of a stupid punishment considering its a new halves combo that would want as much time on the field as possible

Well unless Eden has an absolute shocker of a game I suppose we can put him down as the starting winger for the Broncos come Round 1. I will eagerly await the Roosters team list for their match against St Helens and I'll keep a close watch of some of the performances.
Also I'm kind of keen to fit Jaelen Feeney in my team now I hear he'll get the fullback spot at the Knights and he has that DPP flexibility but I guess until I hear how he does in a trial game there's nothing for me to say he'll be a better option than the other cash cows I have.

Run him through a course, sprints, push ups etc until he is absolutely knackered and do it in front of the other players. Let them know it's not tolerated.
I like the harsh line that Brown is drawing in the sand.

I thought Opacic looked more impressive in the Nines than Eden did in the Cowboys trial, but I guess it doesn't really matter from a fantasy point of view.

Looks like Douglas suspended for round 1. Paasi probably will start but will he retain the starting gig in round 2. It's up to him & he'll be looking to have a impressive performance.

Ive watched him the last 2 years, the kid will still be behind a solid forward pack.
He will be a tacklebreaking/line breaking machine, will be a similar player to Milford, just not at his level.
I don't think people are doubting his ability if given an extended run as a starting half, rather they are more concerned about him becoming a part time hooker / half when Pearce returns. If he ends up playing 5-10 minutes a half then that could be a problem. Hopefully though he could make a good start to the season and by the time Pearce returns he could be traded for TMM, if Wallace can hold him out that long!

i wouldnt be touching a rookie broncos winger with reed due back after a few weeks. that said, he may be a bit nervous. kahu is a great player and may lock down that centre spot.

Whoever gets it out of Eden/Opacic is likely going to be a bit of a dud. Likely only 4 weeks in the team, and just as a low scoring winger I doubt there will be a tonne of cash to be made.
Feeney seems a lot more exciting as a fantasy prospect.

Well if he is named on the bench, most will jump off him.
If he starts at 5/8th (the assumption most people are making when they have him), I think he'll be getting moer than 20 minutes game time

it really all depends on how long pearce is out. roosters have enough injury problems as it is, they will not want pearce out any longer than he needs to be.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
Well I was originally planning on just putting the 15-20k Eden or Opacic made in the bank plus I get the feeling that whoever does get the wing spot might bag a couple of tries and get some good attacking scores.
Feeney would seem like a better long term Fantasy prospect though but he could also get dropped within the month too and with the hard-ass stance Brown seems to have there's no room for okay performances with someone capable like Mamo hanging around. Oh well I'll keep my options open.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
Knights team
1. Jaelen Feeney
2. Jake Mamo
3. Pat Mata’Utia
4. Dane Gagai
5. Akuila Uate
6. Brock Lamb
7. Trent Hodkinson
8. Kade Snowden
9. Danny Levi
10. Jack Stockwell
11. Korbin Sims
12. Robbie Rochow
13. Jeremy Smith
14. Tyler Randell
15. Mickey Paea
16. Pauli Pauli
17. Sam Mataora
18. Jacob Saifiti
19. Daniel Saifiti
20. Lachlan Fitzgibbon
21. Will Pearsell
22. Nathan Ross
23. Sione Mata’utia
24. David Bhana
25. Chanel Mata'utia
For round 1 I'd assume Mullen in for Lamb
And for round 2 Sione in for Pat Mata'utia (Sione suspended round 1)
Hard to predict what K Sims is going to do in the 2nd row, but either he or Rochow must be tempting.
I think that is a reasonable prop rotation for Pauli Pauli to have value as an NPR. Wouldn't want him in my 17 though

Based on the teams I've seen, most people will have room for both players named in Rd 1 and a couple of prospects - Taylor, Eden/Opacic, Gutherson, JNiko (likely named Rd 1), Feeney, Scott, Addo-Carr (might not get a round 1 gig, but a good chance to appear in the first month). Even if some of them only make 15-20k before a better cash-cow comes along, it's money in the bank. Unless you're a fantasy oracle that can predict with certainty which of the non-listed players is going to get a run in weeks 2,3,4 etc. Or alternatively you sit for the full season with a myth on your bench (Chee-kam, Moga anyone?)

Another article in the Sharks Fullback saga

Basically Bird said he wants to play fullback, but will play centre if the coach tells him too
If Barba is named fullback I don't think I can pass on him, but I can see Flanagan chopping and changing mid-game to the detriment of
the Sharks and Fantasy coaches.
