How is Cook not in the 17? Surely precautionary as IMO he is better then McInnes and not just in a Fantasy sense.

Yeah, he's a game changer, must be precautionary like you say.

No I would say this is how Round 1 will be with McInnes starting and Cook coming on later in the game then playing out till the end.

Could be right but surely it would make sense to start with and finish the game with your best #9.

I think Levi has been considered the better prospect. Just that Randell has been starting while Levi gets himself up to speed.

Even if he starts in the competition proper, think he might be a bit too much of a slow burn for fantasy purposes.

Maybe he wants Keary, McInnes and Cook all on for the final 15 mins its all experimental in the trials, #9 isnt the worry here , I am more concerned as to the centre pairing for round 1 - thought all along barring injury the back 7 would be GI,AJ,Goodwin,Auva'a,Gray,Walker and ARey - with Keary and Gurgess in for round 2, its great to see Zane Musgrove given another run as he more than held his own in the CS game.

Yeah, fair call.  Will certainly enjoy some slow opposition around the ruck.

Brown said if he signed for the Raiders he'd play reserve grade but the indications are that he'll be available for the Raiders round 1.

Have been lurking these forums since the comp opened and thought I would join. Last year I made the mistake of over compensating for the Titans scandal and was behind the 8 ball from the beginning with Moseley and Simpkins. Is picking Kayne Evans and Taukeiaho because of Cordner and JWHs injury the same mistake>?

Welcome mate. I would only pick one of them. If Taukeiaho starts in the 2fr I'd pick him but Aubussen is more likely to get the gig with Liu/Taukeiaho being used like last year. MS posted some info on Evans a couple of pages back that make him a better bet with JWH out so I think he's the better pick.

Gday WAC, welcome to the forum.  Moseley was an unknown and Simpkins had gone allright in the past; Evans and Tauks are a different beast.  Tauks is not a risk at all and Evans should only improve.

Welcome mate , I am running with Taukeiaho however leaving Evans alone just not a fan of his to be honest but there are more qualified posters here that will help you out I,m sure.

You'd have to think he's odds on to go in the next couple of weeks.  Can he play prop?  Raiders might put even more pressure on the Knights if he can.

Im sure he could play prop, just not sure how successfully. Maybe Soliola could switch to prop and Tapine or Whitehead start in the backrow?

Love Vaughan vastly underrated and perfect opportunity for a bigger role without Shillo

Yeah I was thinking the same, but he had plenty of minutes without Shillo at the start of last year:

    45 mins for 38
    47 mins for 41
    40 mins for 30
    43 mins for 29
    41 mins for 35
    46 mins for 47
57 mins for 60 (probably ignore as he played lock?)

They're not great numbers - plus he played enough mid 30 minute games without Shillo at the start of the year. You'd imagine Vaughan, Boyd (just as impressive as Vaughan, if not more so last year?) and FPN would all play similar minutes, I don't see how he gets more than 45-50 minutes? Plus he threw in way too many 30's for my liking given that his minutes probably aren't going to increase?
