Latrell in Round 1 team. Well the guy's probably got better job security than Greg Eden right? Into my team you go mate although now I'm really stacking up on Rooster players.

Wow on the Latrell call. Excellent for Fantasy. So does anyone know what the go is with Joe Burgess then?Honeysett wrote:"Roosters coach Trent Robinson confirmed Nikorima and fellow teenager Latrell Mitchell would play round one."

For what it's worth I attended a Roosters fan event late last year where they held a Q and A. In it Steve McNamara said that Joe Burgess wasn't a walk in to the team and that they wanted him to fight for his spot since they felt he hadn't experienced that feeling of really knuckling down and working hard because he always had a secure spot at Wigan.
At this rate I'd say the Chooks think Mitchell is ready and want to give him game time. Burgess will just have to wait until Mitchell has a few shockers or Tupou keeps making errors and ragdolled coming out of the 20.

Cheers for sharing mate. I assumed Burgess was a walk up, but stands to reason. What are you paying Burgess do yo know?

Maybe latrell plays some FB with Ferguson back in the centres. Copley would be the one likely to drop out in that scenario

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
There will be a Latecomers Leagues thread started today. The Preliminary Registration thread is now
closed. I will get it started a bit later (at work) for those who missed the first cut off date. Those in the
Latecomers Leagues may still be added to the Preliminary Leagues depending on rank/proof/availability.

Too many Roosters come round 1. In all the years of DT and fantasy I never saw another team with so many potential cashies available

No clue but probably not a whole lot. I'd say maybe 100-150k at most, he's a promising talent from Super League but unproven in the NRL so wouldn't be in high demand on the open market.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
So let's play devils advocate for a second.
If I replace Soward and Blake with J-Nik(NPR) and put Mitchell in the 17 it means I can bring in LAM.
Leaves me with a very top heavy team.
Smith (Lichaa)
Woods, LAM (Evans, Stockwell)
Surgess, WGraham, Tauk (JDB)
DCE, Hastings
CLaw, Auva'a
Mansour, Feeney, Mitchell.

50/50 call on whether it is worth the risk. If we get a genuine indicator of the Pearce situation and his likely return before Round 1 that would be extremely helpful. Can't help but think Pearce will be back sooner rather than later.Honeysett wrote:So let's play devils advocate for a second.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
It was painful to watch JNik around this morning, ive had massive raps on him for the past 2 years and havent been quiet about voicing it.
Kids a talent, will be as good as Milf in a few years I reckon.
He is always in the play and will always go looking for the ball. I know the nrl is a massive step up from the 20's but attacking wise he will always be busy.

You and me both BL. Didnt hurt so much seeing Copley in another jersey though.B/L wrote:It was painful to watch JNik around this morning, ive had massive raps on him for the past 2 years and havent been quiet about voicing it.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 6
This is driving me mental haha.
So many combinations, I settle on a team and say to myself "oh, let's see what happens if I do this.... oh! I like that better!"
Rinse, lathe, repeat.

Don't talk about your favourite player like that, but in all seriousness he didn't do much. I wonder how many points he would have scored without the try. I might have to re think buying him, he was disappointing in a Rooster side that gunned it.
