Didn't read the bit about him training by himself. If I did something like that to one of my charges, I'd be lucky to have a job after HR got a hold of it.
But if one of your charges exhibited inappropriate behaviour/was out of line he would be suspended & would be sent home.
Yes. But in this instance didn't Tapine only do something that was within the NRL's guidelines? Morally I think he's a shit cunt. But by the letter of the law I don't think he has done anything he wasn't entitled to do. The NRL need to sort their shit out when it comes to contracts.

Watch Tapine's selection % drop drastically over the next few days. On the other hand watch Tauks increase.

It's actually not that bad Milch. I've never been one for mid-Rangers
Add DCE OR JT to that shortlist

Why is he a shit cunt?
He is allowed to sign with another club,
Brown is also allowed to pick whatever team he likes, I don't think brown is allowed to workplace bully / isolate a player from others,
He needs to go about it another way, post a 1st grade players only train squad without tapine and post a reggies training squad with him.

I'm not sure if Evans gets the increase in minutes that we are expecting.

I think he's a shit cunt morally cos he chased the dollars at Canberra after the Knights looked after him when they didn't have to. In saying that Sash, I understand he was offered ridiculous money. Ultimately it's the NRL's fault though in my book; the contract/transfer situation is a farce and how they have managed to neglect it up till now defies logic.

We'll know what to do with Evans after the WCS. I don't see him starting over Napa but let's hope there's a stats website somewhere that'll tell us his minutes and workrate. If all else fails, as back-up I'll get out a pen and paper, count everything but the run metres and use a stopwatch for his minutes.

Tapine is redundant to the Knights I think Brown did the right thing, they let go of Houston specifically to keep him if the rumours are true. Wether he gets away with it or not is a different story.

nothing wrong IMO in what Brown did, technically may be against work place policy but they stood by their employee after an assault charge, looked after him and furthered his career, he still gets paid his massively inflated contract next year regardless of where he is training

Need a big team that "matters" to get burnt by it otherwise the NRL couldn't give a fuck. Can't be ponies because the instant that guy signs elsewhere they would miraculously sign someone even better for half the price.
As for Tapine/Brown, I think Brown is acting far too emotionally. I can definitely see where he is coming from though. When Milford signed a lot of Raiders fans wanted similar treatment(and some are saying the same with TPJ). I was one who felt that way at first too. But then I considered how friendly players seem to be with guys from other teams. Add that to the attitude players seem to have these days where they recognise loyalty doesn't pay the bills and I think the sort of stunt Brown is pulling would do more harm than good. Not to mention the work place bullying/discrimination that comes into it.
I don't think many other players would have a problem with what Tapine has done and may be hesitant to play under Brown after seeing his actions. I know Knights have shown loyalty to him and looked after him in the past, but what players recognise is that they have a limited time in the game and need to make the most out of it. It sucks for fans but the only one that can do anything about it is the NRL.

As an aside, what's the go with Parra naming Foran as captain? Bloody strange call, I mean I guess they are looking to move on from Mannah eventually but to pick a guy who hasn't played a game for the club yet O_o.

Why would the knights players be upset with Brown? I think its a decent precedent to set, you want to leave us after everything we have done then sit it out and i will bring through players who are committed to the club!

Playing devils advocate here, they'd be upset because he's a mate of yours and just looking after his family and the boss isn't letting you play.
I completely agree with Brown though. Why let him play and get better as a player only to move to a different club? That's part of the consequences of signing got another club before the season starts.
