Brown has told Tapine he has to train alone away from the team & now his manager has made a formal complaint to the nrl. Apparently it is undue pressure/unfair treatment.

Why not just release him immediately? I thought he threatened to play him in ressies if he signed with the Raiders.

His manager had made a formal complaint to the NRL apparently about not getting an early release.

I find the quote from his manager intriguing from a language point of view:

“This deteriorates what is a deteriorating circumstance.”

Not sure if literary genius, or numpty.

Didn't read the bit about him training by himself.  If I did something like that to one of my charges, I'd be lucky to have a job after HR got a hold of it.

But if one of your charges exhibited inappropriate behaviour/was out of line he would be suspended & would be sent home.

Sydney FC got busted a couple years ago by the PFA for making playes train alone.

The players association might kick up a stink about it here to.

Its mostly a result of a terrible transfer system - they should just send Tapine to the Raiders now.

Alienating an employee such as is being reported about Tapine is actually unfair treatment in the workplace. His manager actually has a fair point and a case.

People forget that there are still workplace rules to uphold, even if it is a sporting environment and not your every day average job

Brown could get a very bad reputation out of something like this. He'll have trouble attracting good players in the future if this is the way he runs a team. It will be interesting to see how the Knights handle this.

    Tigers team

    1. James Tedesco
    2. David Nofoaluma
    3. Tim Simona
    4. Kevin Naiqama
    5. Justin Hunt
    18. Mitchell Moses
    7. Jack Littlejohn
    8. Aaron Woods (C)
    9. Robbie Farah
    10. Tim Grant
    11. Curtis Sironen
    12. Chris Lawrence
    13. Sauaso Sue

    Interchange:
    6. Jordan Rankin
    14. Ava Seumanufagai
    15. Josh Aloiai
    16. Manaia Cherrington
    17. Kyle Lovett
    19.Luke Brooks
    20. Josh Drinkwater

Starting team as expected, with Hunt apparently winning the vacant wing spot for now.

Not sure what having Rankin in jersey 6 signifies

notable absentees (far as I know only Edwards is injured)

    Joel Edwards
    Michael Chee-Kam
    Josh Addo-Carr
    Rod Griffin

But isn't Brown only following through on his word. Tapine was warned there would be consequences if he signed for the Raiders. Hasn't Tapine's job essentially become redundant "the state of being not or no longer needed or useful" & when this occurs you are removed from the workplace.

Sue at lock was predicted. I suppose this confirms it now. Welcome to my bench brother.

    Evans, Stockwell, B.Lawrence

Pick the two most likely to score the most above their price

Surgess and Merrin are popular picks - would anyone consider spending that money on Tedesco instead?

Removing a bad attitude from a team environment is fine, removing him because he signed elsewhere will get him in shit.

Brown is doing the right thing by the Knights, can't be mad at him for that.

I'd rather get my forwards set up first, and then go for the backs later on. Might be too many spot fires to put out if he doesn't kill it from day dot.

Stockwell priced at 33. Evans at 30. Lawrence at 22.

    I'd say Stockwell & Lawrence.

I have him in my squad at the moment. (To be fair I have had him the whole time.) I think it depends on who your other Captain choices are available. If you are confident in them, and then you think the extra cash can produce 10 or more points compared to other FRF Players who are most likely your downgrade options. Then it is worth trading him out.

I've had him the whole time as well, Smith and Fifita were my first 2 picks. If I downgrade it'll probably be to Graham which leaves me with Surgess, Merrin or DCE as VC choices.

Having Fifita with 2 expensive hookers really eats into the cap, as much I would like him in my squad, I'm not sure if its worth the compromise you have to make in other areas.

If you are running with Smith & another premium hooker give Fifita/Parker a miss & get both Merrin & Surgess. If you have Parcell as the 2nd hooker get Surgess, Merrin & one of Fifita or Parker.

Agreed. You just can't do that old school stuff anymore.
