He already scores a heap of tries for a hooker and all the attcking stats that come with them, I think he is priced pretty fairly and too much of a risk for me as I feel I can get better value elsewhere for his price if his minutes stay the same and the tries dry up he will actually regress, if he was playing 80 he would be straight into my team however because he wouldn't have to rely on attacking stats to post a decent avg

    that's all fine.

My point is, you've given actual reasons for why you aren't picking him.

But when someone just says 'he won't play 80' when talking about someone who didn't play 80 last year. Its not a very helpful point.

Not having a go at you, I just see it a lot, and I think its better if we talk about why people's scores might improve/regress/stagnate rather than just talk about minutes played, which is only part of what makes a player useful.

He didn't play 80 minutes last year, and his pricing takes that into account.

I would argue he is unlikely to reduce his minutes in 2016, so he is unlikely to drop in price, and he does not need to play 80 minutes in order to provide good value.

All he needs to do is improve on last year, which is certainly a possibility.

Agree. He is undervalued regardless of the minutes. Priced at 42, averaged I think 48 when starting and 49 in fact if you take out the game he scored -3 because he got knocked out at the start of the game. So he is priced 7 below his worth even if his minutes don't increase which I see as a possibility. That said he is in and out of my team, and currently out for smith/Segs but maybe back in if I need the money

I also think that Granville is going to get some good attacking stats this year with the limited interchange and tired markers. He is like a jack russell when the post man goes past running out of dummy half.

You're right Milchy, I was just checking out some stats from last year.

His lower price this year takes into account the lower min games he played when he was starting from the interchange for his first few games.

When he made the starting side he still played some 40 min games then just before the bye rounds his minutes increased from 50 to 70 odd. Actually there was no real consistency in his minutes, they were all over the place.

Granville makes my team so much more balanced but I hate knowingly picking non 80min hoppers. Nothing worse than that number 14 utility.

If u don't go with him or Morgan I will have zero players from the premiers, which feels wrong.

But I just can't break out of 2012, currently sitting with Smith/Farah and feel I know exactly what I get

Won't Farah be a wasted trade when Ballin comes back mate? i reckon there are a few hookers who all have better job security and can match his points avg

could be a masterstoke though with such low ownership on, only a year removed fantasy uber-gun

Granvilles minutes shouldn't matter too much! In 77mins he scored a 31 and earlier in the year he scored 61 off 60mins. Same days hes going to have amazing scores off low mins then the next he could get all 80 mins and score mid 30s. Its a gamble but I think its one worth punting on

I for one hopes that Merrin is named in the front row for the first team list. At least he'll then be a DPP

he's still in my team... i'm quitly hoping that api won't be ready for the first couple games, so Parcell can rake up...I mean package up... the points to increase his avg early on.

I've been anti Granville as I like my hookers to be reliable but I had no idea he was priced at 42 and averaged 49 starting. Just shows how wrong preconceptions can be.
