He's a Q cup hooker not the next Cameron Smith. Even if he plays 40 and averages 30 where do you bank 250-300k to upgrade him to a gun? That second hooker is so important I'd rather have a mid ranger who holds his price than a cow who makes 100k, Peats was the exception but only because he had 2rf dpp.

Saying all that about Parcell if his Wiki page is accurate he's certainly fit enough to play big minutes, this is nuts if true.
In 2015, Parcell joined the Brisbane Broncos. In the pre-season, he beat former Bronco Jake Granville's 2.5 kilometre cross country record twice in one hour and then set a new mark for the Broncos' 1.8 kilometre run, while he can also run 40 metres in under five seconds.

    Parcell & KorisaU to share.

to start the year I think they'll both get a chance to stake their claim, 40 mins a piece. I'm hoping parcel can come out the winner and be the main hooker by round 6.

He surged in popularity when Koro got arrested with hopes of him getting massive responsibility

Now it looks like Koro will be OK, and Parcell has a niggling injury himself.

Playing 40 minutes he will make money, but possibly a little too slowly, and waste a valuable hooking slot at the same time.

Not sure on the 40m time but I know the others are 100% true. I wonder what Roberts time is for 40m scratch

All I know is last year I started the year with Lichaa and Moseley as my two HOK's and I did rather okay. I have enough faith Parcell can crank out some decent scores and nab a try or two to earn some slow cash and bide me time to get the cash to upgrade him.

I think what I did was take this statement from renegades:

"Granville has started 23 games at hooker in the past two years and averaged 46.6 in 55 minutes a game"

which means he would have collectively scored 23 x 46.6 points = 1071.8 points in those games. But in reality he scored those points in 22 games because he got knocked out early in one match.

    1071.8 divided by 22 = 48.7.

Have I got the math's wrong?

    For Granville

Games he started (ignoring the -3, and his 3 try effort. Including finals) 22 games averaged 43 (roughly what he is priced at)

Games he played >50 minutes (but again ignoring the hattrick effort and including finals) averaged 48.6

Games he played 60+ minutes. 6 games for a 52.3 average. Include the hattrick and average is 56.8

Last stat. Games where Granville started and Kostjasyn was on the bench (their minutes often but not always added up to 80, ie they didn't share game time)
    17 games average 44.9

Really he needs 50+ minutes to be useful. if you think he'll get 60+ minutes regularly then he becomes very very tempting indeed.

I am a little tempted, but just not confident enough that we'll see him get the scores wanted.

If I end up running with Parcell I will keep some extra $$$ in the bank to make the jump to a gun easier. risky but hey Beer

According to my sheet (which includes finals) he scored 1036 points in 24 starts
So 1039 points in 23 starts if you discount the -3. Average of 45.2
This was in an average of 55.9 minutes (again ignoring the -3)

Not quite enough for mine to get him unless you are confident of further improvement

This is what I had 1038 points over 23 games which didn't include the -3 game (games he started at hooker and not taking into account minutes)

    1038/23 for a 45 point avg

Yes well if that's the case certainly less value, although I'm not entirely sure it's fair to discount the tries because for Jake they are kind of a base stat wouldn't you say? And I do think he will probably get the 60 min. But yeah still not sure if I want Smith/Segs or Smith/Jake
