The shorter the timeframe the less a season average really matters. You either get a guy and they go big, or they have a stinker (or two)... or a stinker and two banners.. etc

I either use 2 trades for DCE this week leaving 3 trades for injuries, or 2 downgrades this week and an extra trade next week for Cleary. Getting Cleary then leaves me 2 trades, but would probably mean I'm playing the likes of Hethro and Trindall if I get both of those this week. Not sure I like that.

People seem pretty down on Ponga - is it just concern that he's carrying an injury?
55 this week and he's under 600k, then 5 weeks with 2x Broncos, 1x Dogs, 1x Titans, and 1x Sharks.
Still think that's pretty hard to pass up.

Think there is a bit of concern that his fantasy scores don’t look too flash towards the back end of a season. Definitely something I’ll be looking at thoughmrbrownstone wrote:People seem pretty down on Ponga - is it just concern that he's carrying an injury?

I kind of get that. In 2019 he finished the year with 32, 38, 6. In 2020 it was 41, 21, 26 (finals week 1). Then again, just before those, he scored 73 and 108 respectively.
Not sure you can read anything into that, isn't it a bit like the whole "Teddy doesn't score well in the first 4 rounds" thing.

Ponga's end of season scores look alright. Last 6 of 2019 were a little rough, but I thought Knights were staging a mutiny against coach Brown at the time.

They are probably going to do the same thing to O'brien.

Yeah they're just clinging on to hope of a top 8 spot right now.. couple more losses and it might play out that way.

I’ll probably get him either this week or the next. Could be under 600k next week. So could Papy if he has one more week on the interchange.
Im not concerned about historic end of season scores - I think that’s pretty meaningless
More concerned about the possibility he’s carrying an injury.

I haven't been checking BEs recently, but Pap at 125
He'll be mid 600s even with a 60, probably a better option than Ponga.

We could be without: Tatola, Murray, Sele, Knight, Campbell, AJ, Reyno and Benji by kick off bugger!StormTrooper96 wrote:South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds is in doubt for Saturday's clash against the Dragons with a minor hamstring injury.
Scan results confirmed a small muscle issue for the departing playmaker, who will be rested from training this week before a final decision is made on Friday.
The Rabbitohs are expecting Cody Walker (knee) to be available after leaving the field in last week's win but could be without Liam Knight and Campbell Graham with the pair continuing to recover from head knocks.

The dragons could put all 17 on the field and that Rabbitohs team would still win

Unless Pap shows a lot more convincing signs this week on the field, you'd be a brave man to go near him.

Only need Walker and Latrell against the Dragons.

@PenrithPanthers confirm Brian To'o (ankle) out up to 6 weeks; and Tyrone May (MCL) out indefinitely.

Well the ‘let’s run with low trades after origin’ tactic has just jumped up and down on my testicles just 2 weeks after origin. Lessons are currently been learnt

The big Storm-Panthers match gonna be a bust. Perfect setup for an ambush in the GF rematch though.
