Tbh im still happy the way it is now.

ALTHOUGH in saying that, when the cap is tight we (warning, forum think) generally drill our initial squads down pretty hard to there being a lot of similarities, especially when cash cow options in round 1 are scarce.

Maybe a bigger cap would allow for more variety. Not sure.

More trades just helps the weaker players. I think it's more a case of people getting to trigger happy with trades and then crying poor when they run out with 5 rounds left.
I'd prefer the game stayed the same tbh.

Im not too bad for this week, just Moses out and Fog a maybe.. tho if Fog doesnt play itd mean I have to play chambers (Avo to half).

What would you choose out of the following options. I have 5 trades left, currently only 16 green dots (17 if Fog plays) and no cover for bird at centre which means I would have to play with 16 even if fog plays.

1) - Hynes/SJ to Douhei and Hetherington - Would play 16 due to bird, but feel douhei is the better strategic option. This is based on me getting cleary next week (3 trades left)
2) - Hynes/SJ to Rapana and Hetherington - Covers Bird, but do we think Rapana keeps the FB job? (3 trades left). Would allow Cleary Next week.
3) - SJ to Chambers - Covers Bird. Leaves 4 trades, would need Hynes to score his break even (60) so I could upgrade him to Cleary as I would only have $482k ITB.
4) None of the above - Rethink your options you idiot

It's a bit surprising that MTB isn't already.

If MF doesn't return next season, Fantasy Fantasy champion-in-waiting Camo should also be made a Mod - he already does Mod things (if you know what I mean).

People seem pretty set on Fog playing this week. Where’s the optimism coming from?

Would be great balance for me. Last year you had to choose which captaincy option you wanted, this year you could start with Cleary, Teddy, Fifita and still have all the cows you wanted

I don't think I would bring in Chambers for what looks like one week, especially if it risks your future plans. Rapana is more justifiable because not only does he cover centre this week, he can be WFB cover moving forward assuming Hynes needs trading. But Douehi would probably be better moving forward. Yeah I think I prefer option 1, but I wonder if there is an option that involves holding Hynes as long as possible? Probably not if you're  aim is to get Cleary. Fair enough.

Edit: when I say I wouldn't bring in Chambers, it makes sense for Soylent because he has no centre cover from memory and Chambers would be that cover. In your case you kind of have cover with Roberts.

Indeed I started with Cleary, Teddy, Fifita, Crichton and Pappy.

Was the starting cap 9.8 mil? If you increase the squad size by two players, they will by definition be nprs and not require much cash to be spent on them. Therefore if you increase the cap, I would rather it be by no more than 456k (228k x 2). So somewhere between 9.8m and 10.2m would probably be ideal.

Going to have to play with 16 this week with Bird and Roberts unavailable. Not wasting a precious trade on a centre for a week. Will just have to decide if I want to spend my Cleary money on SJ to DCE.
